@alluringstorms 2 fatalities at Gaylord in 2022. There have been a couple with two in last few decades, but 3 fatalities is comparatively rare from a single tornado (note 4 fatalities today, but unclear if multiple tornadoes). Michigan only has 6 tornadoes with four or more fatalities since 1950

@JTAllen3 Did no one die in that Gaylord, MI tornado a couple years ago?

Lot of characteristics here point to a higher end tornado, note the rapid motion on the trailing edge, horizontal vortex formation and above all large amounts of large debris being lofted.

One of the more impressive tornado videos we've received in my time here. This from TJ Second in Union City. Looks like a strong, multi-vortex tornado. #MIWx @wwmtnews @NWSIWX

Looks like a pretty strong tornado in southern MI today. March is the start of our typical tornado season, so just a reminder to have your severe weather plan and preparations in place.

VIOLENT TORNADO in Union City, MI! Horizontal vortices appeared several times! @MiStormChasers @NWSIWX @ReedTimmerUSA

@KP24 Agree - when Stokes doesn't perform w/ the bat England are very vulnerable, same true w/ Root. Suggests they are doing a lot of carrying, but nice to see Bethell as a future talent. Bowling unit significantly overrated - AUS has 5 in top 10, and 3 missed most. ENG, 1 in top 20.

I’ll help with the thorough investigation that the ECB are going to conduct, right here, for free.
Apart from Stokes, Root, Archer, Bethell & Brook WITH a brain, the team isn’t good enough to compete with Aus or India.
It’s proven just on this tour with Aus missing most of their best players.
All the pre-tour game chat, discipline chat and now investigations, they are now mere distractions.
It’s very simple, as I’ve stated above.
Happy to hear your thoughts, as always?

@MichaelVaughan Understand the frustration on England's part, but I wonder if the broad nature of that murmur is really an edge. Seemed like Weatherald was brushing his pocket at the same time which might explain it (with or without an edge). Case for hot spot to return.

Well, this looks quite a bit more than 5 cm in diameter. Wow!

Capturing the size distribution and impact energy of falling hailstones is essential during every @IBHS_org #hail field deployment.
🧰 One of the key tools in this effort is the disdrometer - a specialized impact probe to measure #hailstone characteristics in real time.

43 years after CCOPE which was the last major hail field campaign in the US in Montana @nsf_icechip IOP18 added a fantastic hail dataset in central Montana with two storms, incl. an explosive latching of a storm to a boundary that exploded from an LP supercell to a monstrous HP.
