I have to say that if @gmpolice spent less on the eye watering legal costs of defending themselves in tribunals, or the incredible amounts of time covering up their “mistakes” and simply adopted a whole different working practise of honesty, transparency, professionalism, and just basic human decency from the top down, we would be far more likely to have a police force that operated more efficiently, and in the public interest, for less actual money! This isn’t about lack of money, in my opinion, it’s about inappropriate use of the funds they already have! Just like what’s happening now in the @PostOffice scandal - the real victims being offered derisory sums whilst legal teams coin it in and fill their boots from the public purse!!!! Corrupt! In my case the @metpoliceuk 'professional standards' in their efforts to conceal wrongdoing of their colleagues, removed the 'master tape' for custody suite and promptly lost it. This is the kind of blatant corruption the public face when challenging police wrongdoing

I had to post this again after I’d watched the @Channel4 programme To Catch a Copper It did everything to show why I repeatedly say that #police so called Professional Standards are entirely unfit for purpose. It truly is police marking their own homework and holds no one truly to account. And I think anyone who has watched this will understand exactly why I say what I say, repeatedly!! We need to throw it all out and start totally from scratch. Only then will we see real change and real accountability!!
