@AaronBastani Look what happened to the Morrisons and Waitrose workers. This is why people in retail don't take a stand.

@Luis_Cook1 The MRP is completely missing the strength of all Independent groups - Muslim or otherwise. I know the HRA are running an unpopular council (and were in coalition with Labour) - but they got over 70% of the vote in several wards there last time.

@safconservative @Luis_Cook1 Orpington is in Bromley and most certainly is not left-leaning. Crystal Palace, Anerley, Penge and Beckenham are the more left-wing dominated parts of the borough.

@Luis_Cook1 If Orpington were included in the Bromley boundaries, it may be closer as we bids Orpington is lefty leaning

Below is my prediction for London in May ⬇️ - Reform exceed expectations in SE/E London ➡️ - Green wave is REAL 🟢 - Tories take back key boroughs 🌳 - Labour collapse 🥀 Thanks to @poll_checker for creating this so I could make my prediction 👍 Thoughts? 💭

@jcwf1 @ElectionMapsUK Green gains a mixture of 2025 Labour and Lib Dem voters, plus picking up former non-voters. Reform losses partly 2025 voters switching to the Tories, and partly them staying at home.

@ElectionMapsUK Seems in both byelections there has being switches from reform to green. Which is curious.

Solar panels being installed in the car park of our local hospital. Fantastic! This isn’t ‘woke’. It’s a cheap, reliable source of energy - and is *part* of ensuring British energy security.

@tomwhx I think Labour will win a grand total of zero seats in Birmingham.

Very interesting projection for Birmingham, suggesting Conservatives in line to win the most seats. Labour performing even worse than I'd expected. An administration might actually be possible from these numbers.

@LeaderofKCC True, but this should also be a wake-up call for you and your council. Stop the pointless infighting, and focus entirely on scrapping wasteful spending and resurfacing the roads. Get those roads resurfaced and voters will soon come back to you!

@BlobWarriorUK Agree, but my point here is more that JFK has lost Irishness rather than gained American-ness

Her parents flew into Britain a week before her birth to game the system in 1980 and get her British nationality. 2 weeks later they were all back in Nigeria. This loophole was banned in 1983. Simple question. Is Kemi Badenoch British in your opinion?

@BlobWarriorUK So I think it is possible for someone with no British ancestry to cross that line and become British.

@BlobWarriorUK That doesn't make them better or worse people - I always judge on the content of character alone, but it's just the truth. The more native British ancestry you have, the more British you are.

@BlobWarriorUK I think Britishness is a spectrum, but there is a ultimately a line where a person crosses between British and not British. The truth is that someone with a recent migration background like one of Kemi's children will never be as British as a fully indigenous White Briton.

@NumUnobtainable @BlobWarriorUK I think you'd have to be fully Japanese in culture, eat like the natives, relinquish all loyalty to Britain, speak Japanese with native proficiency (no foreign accent), AND hold Japanese citizenship. Then I genuinely would consider you Japanese despite your ethnic background.

@BlobWarriorUK ...and in every sense is culturally British. She dresses in a British way, represents a wealthy rural English constituency, and doesn't devote time to Nigeria or its diaspora. While I despise the Tory party's record in office, she's certainly much more of a patriot than Starmer.

@BlobWarriorUK To be fair, Kemi isn't responsible for the actions of her parents, and what they did was legal at the time.
