@ankurnagpal Working toward this. Still inching toward safely giving my OpenClaw access credentials through a proxy before handing it the keys to handle all of these things

@steipete I'm writing a devOps agent testing internally. I basically don't need windows for it and can use pydantic as a type. Does that make sense ??

@andrewchen Ngl I’ve been trying to do this for myself and working out the auth separation. Solved problem for anything that integrates with Plaid and a little trickier for managing and maintaining the other connectors, but doable

Who’s working on this idea: Openclaw for personal finance - integrates w all your banks/cards/etc - understands tax returns and filings - monitors portfolio and competitors - digests proprietary data sources (credit card panels, app rankings, and etc) - reads company news and X Etc etc

@michaelmiraflor Quite frankly most compelling reason to do it is to understand the people who made the jump willingly and why Reason I finally made the jump recently is to understand where personalized software is going and be better at building for it

I need someone who is half nerd half normie to tell me why I need to splurge on a Mac mini and cancel my weekend plans to set up OpenClaw. Can anyone give me 3 good reasons that are not corny or doing it for the sake of doing it. What will this add to my life right now.
Alex Heath@alexeheath

The hacker/builder energy around OpenClaw is very cool, and I have no doubt the idea is here to stay. I have yet to see someone share a specific, game-changing thing that it has done for them that warrants the time/cost/difficulty/risk...

everyone's talking about their teams like they were at the peak of efficiency and bottlenecked by ability to produce code here's what things actually look like - your org rarely has good ideas. ideas being expensive to implement was actually helping - majority of workers have no reason to be super motivated, they want to do their 9-5 and get back to their life - they're not using AI to be 10x more effective they're using it to churn out their tasks with less energy spend - the 2 people on your team that actually tried are now flattened by the slop code everyone is producing, they will quit soon - even when you produce work faster you're still bottlenecked by bureaucracy and the dozen other realities of shipping something real - your CFO is like what do you mean each engineer now costs $2000 extra per month in LLM bills

the jeff dean pod is doing very well, grateful for all the positive shoutouts from u guys 🙇‍♂️ some fun lore: we’re trying to learn the youtube game so everything is a/b tested. allen did a slop @NanoBanana thumbnail and i made 2 human clear ones, higher effort, more relevant. the gemini slop thumbnail with completely irrelevant title text beat the human effort on youtube. its so over

From rewriting Google’s search stack in the early 2000s to reviving sparse trillion-parameter models and co-designing TPUs with frontier ML research, Jeff Dean has quietly shaped nearly every layer of the modern AI stack. As Chief AI Scientist at Google and a driving force behind Gemini, Jeff has lived through multiple scaling revolutions from CPUs and sharded indices to multimodal models that reason across text, video, and code. We sat down with Jeff to unpack what it really means to “own the Pareto frontier,” why distillation is the quiet force behind every generation of faster, cheaper models, how energy not FLOPs is becoming the true constraint on AI compute, what it takes to co-design hardware and models 2–6 years into the future, why unified multimodal systems will outperform specialized ones, what it was like leading the charge to unify all of Google’s AI teams, and his prediction that deeply personalized models with access to your full digital context will redefine what useful AI looks like. @JeffDean @GoogleDeepMind @Google

@AaronJNosbisch @binghott @openclaw @Meta I’d listen to Barry here. It’s hard to fully secure Open Claw given the way it’s designed to be default open vs default locked down It is what has made it magical but it’s also what makes you one bad bash command from giving up your Meta credentials to a hacker

@binghott @openclaw @Meta Gotta add a security layer! Several great ones - it comes standard in new install of @openclaw and other leading solutions - best thing about AI is it’s rapid adaptation when bugs are found. I’ll keep you posted on how it works!

Has anyone launched an @openclaw x @Meta ads agent yet? 📈 Spec’d one out & attempting to build w the team later today. 🛠️ Would theoretically be better than most media buyers v quickly. Self-learning, rapid adjustments according to RT data & goals to ensure target, insane analytics, insights, projections, and recommendations - most importantly it’d allow teams to spend their time fully on creative, message, product, and service - the real levers. I’m visualizing a drag and drop ad library where you can upload new ads, auto-creative testing, core KPI insights alongside trend data when you hover over the ad, type of intuitive ranking system, and a command window you could discuss results, brainstorm new opps, scenario plan, and deploy with supporting agents? Would pair well with a CRO agent 👀

It’s pretty funny that Anthropic tricked us all into building agent harnesses for Claude models It only cost them a couple thousand per month per user in credits they dangle in our faces every few hours We don’t even fault them for it. In fact we tell everyone we know how great it is to hand them $200/mo to do it
