@balajis Some of these companies are increasing headcount to counteract negative public perception. Employees vote, employees deliver tax incentives, etc

The legibility of headcount is part of the issue. More people seems more important, even if it’s actually just more expensive. The alternative may be public dashboards like Coinmarketcap — *but* for healthier metrics than sheer market cap.

I do wonder if the solution is simply advocating profit-per-employee, revenue-per-employee, and customers-per-employee as core metrics across all our companies.
