At this point I’m just about done with politics, at least until I can actually get more involved myself. I hope @RepThomasMassie goes scorched earth his last 6+ months and stops pulling his punches when it comes to @POTUS. He should spend every single day highlighting all of Trump’s failures and broken promises while regularly challenging Trump to a debate on why he seems to have flipped on or abandoned so many of the things he campaigned on. I don’t even care if the Democrats win the midterms now, and if you’d told me a year ago I’d be saying that I would’ve thought you were insane…

Boomers and Gen X packed lunches. Not sure why this stuff enrages zoomers. Boomers lived frugally. Going out to lunch was a big deal. Most didn't have long lunch breaks, especially blue collar. You didn't DoorDash, dinners were made at home. I don't even DoorDash in 2026.

@NYCMayor The laws and customs are not compatible with the United States. We are a very tolerant country but the way women and gays are treated is terrible and you can’t force your Sharia law on others. I am sad that this happened but your ways are archaic.

I am horrified by the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, an apparent act of anti-Muslim violence. Islamophobia endangers Muslim communities across this country. We must confront it directly and stand together against the politics of fear and division. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community grieving this devastating attack. The NYPD is increasing deployments to mosques across the city out of an abundance of caution. There are currently no known threats to NYC houses of worship.

This American needs to lead the Department of Education “This is my audition to become the head of the US Department of Education - My first act of office will be immediately abolishing the No Child Left Behind Act. Yes, we will be leaving children behind. If they fail a class, they will have to repeat it - My second act is one that I'm very passionate about. We will be bringing zeros back. If you don't know, in many schools in the US right now, students receive 40% or 50% if they do zero work, if they do not complete an assignment. And my school included, and many other schools, are not going to be allowed to give a student a 50% if they do not turn in any work. They will have to receive a zero. Likewise, there will be no completion grades, If you just attempt an assignment, that doesn't mean you get a 55%. Like, if you get a 1 out of 10, you earned a 10% on that assignment, and that's okay. Sometimes failing happens, and we don't need to just inflate the grades just for fun. Grades will reflect students' actual performance and understanding of the content - The third one I'm very excited for as well. Teacher evaluations will take place once a year and teachers will be observed by another current teacher from a different school. Teachers would volunteer to be evaluators. They would get a sub for the day, no questions asked, and then they would evaluate objectively. That way the person evaluating you does not know you and does not have any personal bias towards you. Hopefully. - The fourth one, I think this should be common sense, but I hear that it happens all the time at some schools. Never at mine. But teachers shouldn't be expected to work for free. I hear elementary teachers are doing these before and after work things that they aren't getting paid for, like lunch duty or recess duty or pickup duty, whatever it is. The school needs those things covered. People can volunteer for it, and then they have to get paid for it. They can't force you to cover other people's classes for free. They have to pay you extra if they're gonna take away your lunch or your prep or whatever time that is supposed to be yours and then force you to do something without getting paid. There will be no more voluntelling. Hire this woman. The most important thing we need to do is hold students back and force them to learn the work. No more dumbing down out standards

This has always been a scam argument, as a college prof and former exec. Test scores ALONE don't pick the best scholar and citizen. But - all else equal - if I have an applicant with a 1400 SAT vs one with an 1100, the 1400 guy has a 300pt and 29%(?) edge that's going to be hard to beat. What else does Solid 1100 have to show me? "He's Black" was never that, for me. "He can catch a ball?" Nah - let Athletics try again with this one. He grew up in a trailer in Appalachia and got a 630 the FIRST time he took the SAT...last year (this happened)? Maaaaaybe. I elevated the scores a bit from UK or KSU norms, but college admissions is basically this, and pretending a 200pt boost for race is a near-null is clown shoes.

I disagree with the Department of Justice going after Yale School of Medicine over DEI admissions policies and arguing that objective metrics like GPA and MCAT scores should dominate admissions decisions. The evidence does not support the idea that standardized test scores alone identify the best physicians. The MCAT predicts performance on other multiple-choice exams reasonably well. What MCAT scores do NOT predict are clinical judgment, communication, bedside skill, or physician performance. Put another way: doctors who test well tend to do well on examinations. But test scores do not predict how well they care for patients in clinics, hospitals, surgery, or real-world medicine. Meanwhile, more diverse physician workforces are associated with better preventive care, greater trust, improved access, and lower mortality in underserved communities. There is no objective evidence that excluding minority applicants within a reasonable score range improves patient outcomes. We need minority physicians in this country, and we have the data to prove why. So when people insist that “objective measures” alone should determine admission into medicine — while ignoring the evidence about what actually improves patient care — I increasingly see that argument as less about merit and more about preserving exclusion under the comforting language of statistics. "Equality feels like oppression to those who are privileged"

44 Black students got into Yale Medical School and people are losing their minds. Folks outraged about Black students in medical school are either just plain racist or do not a good answer for why the NBA is majority Black, why Koreans dominate esports, why Soviets have historically dominated chess, or why White Americans are overrepresented in business schools. Nobody is calling for diversity quotas in the NFL offensive line. This is why that inconsistency exposes everything. It is culture. The answer is CULTURE! It’s not IQ, it’s not genetics. Culture! When a career path becomes a visible route out of poverty and into dignity for a particular community, that community gravitates toward it. African Americans poured into basketball and football not because of biology but because for decades those were among the only arenas where excellence was rewarded regardless of race. Business ownership concentrated in White families across generations because White were the ones allowed to own businesses, build equity, and pass wealth down. It is not because they are just naturally entrepreneurial. They tend to go to business school and inherit the family business. Asians dominate STEM fields in America not because of some inherent intellectual advantage but because immigrant Asian families identified education in technical fields as the most reliable path to stability and drilled that into their children for generations. Culture explains everything that race cannot to us. The quarterback position in the NFL was considered a “IQ position” for most of the twentieth century, and was subtly understood to be reserved for White players. Now Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Jalen Hurts are the best players in the league at that position. They are a result of what cultural shifts and are not exceptions. Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time. Serena Williams is the greatest tennis player of all time. Both dominated sports historically called White sports due to so called high IQ requirement . It wasn’t like there was a sudden genetic mutation. It was cultural change, and culture changes who shows up, and who shows up changes what is possible. The 19th century European anthropologists who invented the framework of racial hierarchy and eugenics were not scientists. They were ideologues in lab coats, producing justifications for colonial extraction. Even though their pseudoscience has been thoroughly discredited, its ghost still haunts conversations like this one, dressed up as concern for merit. Here is what merit actually looks like. A Black kid from a community with no doctors grows up, sees Ben Carson on television, decides medicine is possible for someone like him, works for it, earns it, and gets into Yale. That is culture catching up to potential that was always there.

Yale School of Medicine Has a total of 553 students across All four classes. Total Black students: 44. That’s ~10 per class. Total Asian students: 157. That’s ~40 per class. There are nearly as many Asian students PER CLASS as there are Black students in the entire school. Black: 14% of America. Only 7% of Yale Med Asian: 7% of America. 28% of Yale Med. Who exactly is getting discriminated against here ? aamc.org/media/6131/dow…

“WE NEED TO LET THEM DO INSIDER TRADING TO FEED THEIR FAMILIES” That was the actual argument just made in defense of politicians trading stocks. Members of Congress make $174,000 a year. The median American income is roughly $63,000. (3x less) Meanwhile the federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour… also unchanged since 2009. And you’re seriously being told politicians need access to insider trading to survive. The system is designed to lead earth to neo-feudalism. And it’s becoming more brazen by the year. Asset ownership consolidates upward. Living standards decline downward. The middle class gets squeezed from both ends and disappears while the elite class accumulates more wealth, more influence, and more protection. Leaving behind a permanent underclass. And a permanent political-financial aristocracy at the top…

Reading this headline you’d think Yale admitted 50 or 100 or 1000 black medical students. It is the grand total of 44 black students compared to 100s of Asian and White students that has caused this furor. Sending hugs to all black students who will suffer abuse.
