@NOBStrades I've been backtesting this non-stop, but there's one thing that keeps biting me in the current markets. How do you avoid getting wicked out all the time with a 20 tick SL? Currently I'm entering in the direction of the trend after wick rejection of EMA

I get people looking for new setups all the time… WHY??? I just told you in my last few post about the 8 period EMA… even a simple 8 period moving average will do the same thing. People get so sucked into the Bull-Shit of order flow looking for answers. The answer is right in front of your face, follow the 8 EMA. It never misses any major moves during the trading session. Follow its direction… How hard is that ??? Did anybody test it? Did anybody go back and look at it on a 1-minute chart ??? No, because you think the market is more complicated. Go back and look at your losing trades which side of the 8 EMA were you on ??? It never misses any major moves and further more it catches GREAT moves. Now, does it have losing trades ? YES. You might have 6, 7 or even 8 losses in a row… who gives a shit ? If you have a well funded account: $5,000 for Micros $20,000 for E-minis What do you care if you have 8 losses in a row? Test it using 20 tick stops or even 49 tick stops. Most of you are trying to avoid losing trades and this is what kills your trading. OrderFlow is nothing more than a justification for your trades. It provides answers to your losses. It doesn’t help you trade better, but all the assholes selling will have you believe otherwise. Go with the FLOW. If your placing trades against the 8 EMA you’re going to be the long term loser. I have a new trader that came into the trading room 10 weeks ago and is consistently profitable 3 weeks after joining the room. How ??? Because he threw out all the bullshit and listened to the 8 EMA and never trades against it. Does he win on every trade… NO. He takes losing trades every day… but he sticks to the plan and trades for his daily NUT or target. 🎯 If you want perfection, keep using OrderFlow maybe you’ll find it, but for fucks sakes… Great traders are not perfectionists, they want profits and to trade well. If your trading is not profitable, it’s probably because you’re a perfectionist.

@TheAlg0mist If it works on any timeframe why is your higher timeframe win-rate so much lower?

One of the biggest improvements in my trading has been scalping on the Lower Timeframes. 🕰️ Time is fractal. If you’ve got edge🔪 it works on any timeframe. I prefer being in the markets as short as possible. Get in, get my piece of the pie & go on with my life 😉

@ForexIke Those aren't the only 2 options though. It's better to be the guy who spends $1k on the first month for evals + activations and then make $25k/mo in payouts after that.

🚨UNPOPULAR OPINION: 🚨 Its better to be the guy who spends $5k-7k/mo on prop firms and gets $25,000/mo in payouts than it is to be the guy who spends $0-200 per month on prop firms and gets $2,000/mo in payouts. Price of eggs wont change for you just cause you didn't blow any accounts this month. Money talks.

@Eddie_Fibonacci Something to bear in mind with this type of analysis is that correlation does not equal causation. You have to factor in how often the London Session closed bullish regardless of the 2AM candle over the test period.

📊NQ 10-Year Backtest Insight If the 2am hourly candle closed bullish, then: 65% of the time, the London Session (2am - 8am) closes bullish as well 53% of the time, the session closes above the 2AM candle high #statisticaltrading

@GoshawkTrades Huge CON with MQL is the language. If NT has a steep learning curve than MQL is Mt. Everest.

@KatherinaNote The issue with this is that it doesn't factor in how many days were bullish regardless of the first hourly candle. Correlation does not equal causation.

@CheddahGetta Well, turns out you're 100% right. I had an error in my calculations and just ended up getting lucky this time.

@JacobBeckerman The probability of reversion should be higher the earlier you are in the hour, the same would be for every hour. I would double check the logic/code on how you are pulling that.

Can not win them all. $NQ stopped me out on this reversion attempt. Will see what the rest of the session unfolds. Got in a tad late also as I was slow on the trigger.

I've been running the data cause i was skeptical Reviewed my logic and ran it again 5 min breakdown of the first 20 min of every hour NY Time - NQ / US100 summary if prev hourly high / low is taken in the first 5 min candle it is .....
