I genuinely have a complicated relationship with the 💯. It’s probably worth an article at some point. I see the financial benefit, hate the concept, love that my kids love it, hate the enforced fun, enjoy the cricket, see the value in the county disconnect, loathe the graphics.

@JustElliotMG Yeah I saw players were even opting to play in Canada over the Hundred which is bleak. I'm also a T20 member at Surrey this season. Hopefully spot you at the quarter final in a few weeks if you are there?!

@JacobG_PR If it can’t compete with the US T20 competition it doesn’t have much of a future. I agree that it feels very Blast esque. As a member at the Oval, there is little to no difference between Surrey and the Invincibles.

@JustElliotMG For the men's version the quality of overseas players was poor & felt like it missed the star power of previous years. It was meant to be best vs best, but it now just feels like the Blast was a few years back but with a DJ in the stands! Be interested to see how it proceeds

@WG_RumblePants This year has been bad in both forms of the game. I thought last year the women were good but this year they’ve followed the men in giving wickets away consistently. There’s no tactical nouse in this format and I think the team with the most all rounders generally wins.

Journalists who bad mouth PRs on Twitter suck. It's like people who are rude to waiters, you are leveraging a professional power imbalance. Literally, if the best thing you can Tweet is "omg PR fail they sent me silly email" maybe you need to learn to get more hot takes. Their livelihoods often depend on being nice to you.

@iamrofe It's a good point & not one you see made often, I think because people are terrified of looking like they don't have 'contacts'. Ultimately you need to be in the right place at the right time with a good story that helps them as much as you.

"Build relationships with journalists" is outdated advice. - Most of them get sent hundreds of pitches a day - Some can be writing up to 8 stories a day - Many work from home (and you likely do too) They haven't got time and probably don't want to be 'friends' with you anyway.
