Wild that huge swathes of the American left have a huge problem with Pete Buttigieg's stint as a management consultant with McKinsey but not Graham Platner's work as a Blackwater mercenary.

Caleb Hammer explains why the VA disability system should be changed because too many people are manipulating it “Let’s reconstruct it so that if anyone served, we give them a permanent pension forever. Let’s not call it a disability, because people immediately misconstrue it, get coached on it, and completely abuse the process” “There are a lot of people who are suffering and experiencing real disabilities, but I’ve been digging deep, and we’ve had so many false examples on this show. So instead of having this system that’s so easy to abuse, like any other disability system, I’d rather have people go through their entire service and then receive a pension for life” “The only way to make any kind of social system sustainable, and actually provide it to the people who need it, is by making it sustainable”

@nicksortor Fully expect Gallego to pull the “I’m a veteran with ptsd” crap next! lol. He’s a scum bag who is wholly unqualified to be in any leadership position like most of Congress quite frankly. They’re all losers and con artists.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES: Eric Swalwell and Ruben Gallego were just EXPOSED for spending CAMPAIGN FUNDS on Puerto Rican resorts for Gallego's wedding in 2021, per Daily Mail THOUSANDS of campaign dollars were used for PERSONAL EXPENSES—a FEDERAL CRIME GALLEGO might be the next to go! The Daily Mail reports Gallego spent $2,000 of campaign funds at the luxurious Fairmont El San Juan in Puero Rico on June 7th, 2021 — the venue he was married at that SAME DAY Swalwell spent $1,522.11 in campaign funds at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve right down the road on the same day. To make matters even worse, Gallego was marrying his mistress, who he left his previous wife for while she was NINE MONTHS PREGNANT with their child. LOCK BOTH OF THESE SCUMBAGS UP!

I’m a veteran with bipolar/PTSD. After years of EDF billing chaos following a supplier transfer, the Energy Ombudsman issued a fully upheld binding decision in Jan 2026. @EnergyOmbudsman

@randy19769 A well-written book deserves clean, professional formatting. Readers notice layout more than authors think. If your book looks polished, it builds instant trust. fiverr.com/s/m5PwPZZ

Hi Adventurers. Just an update. My new book, The Alaska Bone, is now 91,000 words long and nearing completion for editing. This day in history: In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell transmitted the first telephone speech to his assistant. "Mr. Watson, come here."

@janeholland1 @Castafi0re I think it is important to produce the best possible book that you can. I self edit hard, have teacher friends as beta readers, then edit again. I have flaws that creep up in my books, I'm sure. Formatting issues are probably my biggest problem. It is wise to download a sample.

Most traditionally published books never earn out their advance. Most indie books will never make their author more than a few quid/dollars. Therefore, to suggest to such authors that they should pointlessly spend ££££ on editing services in the hope of a few more sales is reprehensible. MOST BOOKS WON'T SELL. It doesn't matter how much you throw at them. To make back a fortune spent on editing etc you would need an incredibly brilliant book. Really stonkingly out-of-the-ballpark good. Let's be sensible here. 99.9% of indie books are NOT that good. So I for one am never going to urge, encourage or suggest to authors that paying for editing services is a sound policy. If you have money to burn, go for it. None of my business how you spend your cash. But please, offended fellow authors, stop telling me I'm wrong for not encouraging newbies to beggar themselves for no good reason. Because that says far more about you than it does about me. 🫵

@elonmusk I'm using it to help edit my book and its great. Doesn't change my words just fixes typos/punctuation/grammar. It cuts down on editing drastically. I wish there was a stronger, dedicated feature for editing large manuscripts. Mine is 130k words long.

Grok 4.2 will be about an order of magnitude smarter and faster than Grok 4 when the public beta concludes next month. Still many bug fixes and improvements landing every day. The public beta gives us more critical feedback to address.
Aaron Burnett@aaronburnett

we're already using Grok 4.20 (agents) in our research process, from a research perspective it does feel like we jumped another 9. I'm particularly a fan of the improved sourcing!

I'm giving away this signed copy of The Last Song of the World, which includes most of my recent poems. Just leave a like/comment so I see you, and I'll add your name to the drawing. I hope poetry reaches those who want and need it—and those who may not yet know they do.

I have decided to do three days of work tonight so that I can have a mini vacation before I begin proofreading and editing my newest novel, The Document Thief. Before I go to bed, I will finish the final scene of the book and be completely done with the rough draft.
