It's been two years since The Debate and he's still making public appearances. I understand that social media incentive structures make any kind of public introspection a nonstarter, but maybe in their quiet moments reporters can ask themselves if they got something wrong.

Flagging what state chairs say in this article for all including @jonfavs @mattyglesias -- we need eachother to defeat Trump and Republicans. I take criticism seriously and ideas to improve are always welcome. We must invest in all state parties to expand the map and win elections up and down the ballot. I understand frustrations on autopsy, more on that soon. State parties conducted reviews of our operations and will now write a 4 year plan for the first time (ever?) in each state. We are making real changes to infrastructure to be more responsive to voters, county parties, caucuses, councils, candidates and elected officials. And it's working. We won 90% of the over 300 elections so far in 25 and 26. Record candidate recruitment. Record county party organizing. Yelling at eachother solves nothing.

In fact, red states get MORE because the blue and purple states have targeted races and established donors where funds are coming in and the extra 3k a month we give to red states means a staff person otherwise they could not happen. Red states get 22k a month, blue/purple get 18,500. When we invested in state parties like this before it was during Chair Dean. The 50 state strategy (a plan written by state parties). We win historic elections in 06 and 08 with that infrastructure built. Then the DC crowd decided they could do it better and we know what happened next...we lost record number of state based and state leg races and laid the ground work for massive losses we are dealing with now and digging out of now.
