@mootsheep It will then _force_ every single human to do nothing but contemplate philosophy and morality, write deep, meaningful novels and plays, compose heartfelt poetry and music, and produce objects of exquisite craftsmanship.

It used to be that we'd identify a problem, and people would invent technology to solve it. Now we invent technology, and desperately scramble to find use cases. Why? Because it affirms the foundational belief that technology will one day solve all our problems.

I finally found a good use for Sora! Food! 🥘 It’s very good at getting creative and helping with ideas for dinner. That threw together a bunch and basically made my own Food Network sora.chatgpt.com/profile/perfec…

@PrettyGreyHous1 @mootsheep A Ruger Security-9 pistol and PC Carbine are a pretty simple combo. You can go even dumber with a Hi-Point pistol/carbine combo as well.

@mootsheep Been thinking of getting into guns. Not sure where to start but I might lean into the raw simple ones. Like, not mechanically complex

@Inglebard4 @16bitnostalgia For a 1987 game, this is pretty well done. A lot of people don't seem to realize just how much the more advanced mapper chips changed the graphical appearance of games released in '89 and beyond, especially after the chip shortage of '87-'88 was resolved.

@16bitnostalgia I had this game when it was new and liked it a lot. It looked good, had pretty good music, the action and adventure scenes eyes wellenough... thisnisnliterally the first time I've seen anyone complain about it. It took me a while to finish it back then but I managed.

@amateurartist60 @firecrakcer001 @COOLGAMER2K Most mosquitoes species don't have blood-drinking females (and only a subset of those feed off humans). If all the blood-drinkers disappeared, the world would not be the worse for their absence. Ticks and fleas do absolutely nothing positive for the environment.

@van_smith @MuseumCommodore Most of Amiga's problems with advancing their tech were because of management issues, but it sure didn't help that the Atari ST was competing in the very same market space. If Tramiel had stayed at Commodore and Atari had died off as it was set to before Jack pumped more cash in.

@DrDiamondfire @St1ka to counter your pedantic argument I’ll counter-argue that back in 98 we didn’t think it was the 90s lol. we don’t care about DMA we don’t care about that 1 game from n64 we’re talking about R* GAMES! their ‘accepted’ catalogue is in the OP

@MagmaMKII @St1ka It might be throwing the old boy a bone, but C3PO's communication skills were instrumental in keeping the rebels off the Ewok's menu and convincing the little murder muppets to aid them in attacking the shield generator.

@St1ka What even was C3PO's purpose? He's supposed to be a translator who knows a crapton of languages, except everyone is capable of communicating perfectly. Chewbacca yells "GWRAAAURRRR" and everyone knows what's he saying. Even Jar Jar had more of a purpose.

@EndoOleg I'm no expert, but I *think* the best bet would be to neutralise the corrosion and scrape off as much crap as possible, then sandblast in a booth and paint with anti-corrosion spray paint. 😌

Sega Nomad metal shield pieces -- worst case scenario 💩 It's not stainless steel, and that's not a bad thing. More on that later. But for now, does anybody have any suggestion how to fix this, if fixable at all? Or just make a replacement? (yeah "just make it" ... 😒 )

@Real_Ya_Boi @Dexerto Just because a machine can do something better doesn't mean people will or should stop taking human effort seriously; no long distance runner, regardless of talent, can beat a car's time in a marathon, yet they are still very serious competitions.

@S3Brandon @Dexerto All you need is one guy willing to shove his whole arm down it's throat, more than a few big cats have met their end that way trying to prey on a human. Only a human thinks like that.

if fear isnt in the equation, maybe. but a maximum of 10 or so men can engage in contact with the beast at one time. they move much faster and will likely run away and work the crowd, circling and taking the men out in bunches, in no universe can a man outmaneuver a grown alpha silverback, the only way to win is to dogpile, crush a few dozen humans, and suffocate the beast

@Ricky3812_799 @Dormamort @ShadyMikeGaming @Dexerto A gorilla isn't interested killing as many guys as possible in a fight to the death for some abstract "win" like a human would, he just wants to get out alive. He's going to be terrified and fighting defensively.

@JustinLesniews3 @_TheBadGuyDuh @ctsc0pe @Dexerto Good lord, you do realize the damn gorilla has a psychology too, right? He's not going to look at being surrounded by 100 (even random) men and magically be all confident, he's going to be pissing himself. Even a grizzly bear wouldn't like those odds.
