@jensen_juicy My slow fypd starts tomorrow morning. I’d love your advice and share how my competitive draft goes if you’re interested (18 team daily categories 7x7 league). I have the 4th, and 13th pick then nothing till pick 41. Love your stuff so would love your advice!

I cannot express how excited I am to get into my FYPD research mode. Over the last few years, while the draft class and process itself hasn't really lost it's luster at all, the next part of the process has become the fun part for me. Diving into WHY each team invested in the players they picked, getting feedback on the development plan of each player, watching the bonuses come in, etc, has just been so much more mentally engaging to me. There are so many players I come into the draft knowing I'll be bullish if they land in certain dev programs and bearish if they land in others. So many players whose bonus makes me take a second look and want to know the dev plan and what the team sees. So much intrigue of the drafting strategy from a macro standpoint of each teams class. Finding out why certain players are going to or back to school. Seeing the lesser known preps area scouts absolutely pounded the table for but flew under the radar at the big tournaments. These next few weeks might honestly be my favorite part of the year. And going from having an FYPD list I mostly set pre-draft to a more fluid and slow moving, information gathering process has really helped me up my hit rate significantly. That being said....I will have some immediate takes.

@LouisAnalysis When do you think they come to the states? How will they be signed? Jan 15th international signing? How old will they be when they come?

The Hanshin Tigers duo in Teruaki Sato & Shota Morishita has the potential to be one of the most impactful ever in MLB. Both's 2026 MLB data comps would be: Sato = Oneil Cruz Morishita = Juan Soto Morishita is the true prize to be had.

@KISSproductions I start my slow first year player draft for my dynasty baseball league Monday. I have the 4th pick. I need to draft a hitter. I only care about AVG, OPS, and HRs. You have any suggestions for me? Who would you take?

My official 2026 MLB draft top 100 big board!! Honestly way lower on this class as a whole compared to consensus. Nothing will compare to the 2024 class

@jensen_juicy Juicy, love your stuff and your posts have significantly helped my dynasty team. Just curious who you would take in a first year player draft this Monday with the 4th pick assuming the big three are gone and you only care about AVG, OPS, and HRs.

I've been a huge fan of the younger Lombard for a few years now, but now at draft week, I'm a bit unsure of how to feel. If you've followed me for a few years, you'll know I highly highly value swing mechanics and physical projection in my eval process and Lombard creates a unique problem for me. I honestly like his swing. It's fluid, explosive, little wasted motion and has natural loft. I can see some potential for issues against high heat and there are times at which he looks like he's trying to scoop the ball with his bat, which does scare me, but it looks like a swing that should work. So why hasn't it? The frame is awesome, the defense is awesome, the power upside is insane and he seems mentally built the right way. I'm usually out on the hit tool concern but explosive tools prospects, but I find myself more on the fence. I just don't have a strong read on if the swing and miss issues are just variance and the swing fluidity will win out, if he needs a swing path change to unlock more contact at the expense of some loft or if it's a visual processing/hand-eye issue that can't be fixed. Where and when he goes will be one of the biggest storylines this weekend for me and the org he lands in will likely be a huge factor in how confident I feel in him as a prospect.

@JoshCatlett3 Would you say this is fantasy baseball focused or just your opinion of the quality of player or you predicting the draft order? How would you describe this list?

Austin Riley has gone six games without a run or RBI. He's hitting .203/.287/.348 this year with just eight homers in 289 PA
