Donanemab is not recommended by NICE for cognitive impairment or dementia caused by Alzheimer's.
This is due to limited benefits and high costs, including monthly infusions and intensive side effect monitoring, therefore it not good use for the taxpayer: nice.org.uk/news/articles/…

@ProfRobHoward @SameiHuda This has been a known issue for some time - see work of @JamesRuFletcher - that, as James described, corporate charities raise awareness for themselves by blaming a lack of awareness about dementia, which they also say is responsible for stigma.
