Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

Last week, Republicans passed a budget resolution directing $140 BILLION towards ICE + Border Patrol. Meanwhile, Democrats offered amendment after amendment to lower the costs of living. Republicans objected to Every. Single. One. Instead of working to lower the cost of the gas you put in your car, they want to fund a rogue police force that kills citizens in their cars.

Americans are thirsting for more decency and for elected leaders with more self-control. Throwing gas on the anger and hate gets some people cheering, but it’s toxic and pulling at the seams that holds this country together. Leadership seeks to unify, not divide.
