The USA of the American Dream , built on the idea that anyone, regardless of origin, could succeed through hard work. The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of immigration, was a gift from France. It stood for the welcoming of “the tired, the poor, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free,” as the famous poem at its base reads. Who is to blame? Today’s politicians, who climb to power by exploiting fear, by turning us against each other. From Trump to Elon Musk, from Meloni to Vox, from Milei to AfD. This will be the result: Civil war. Curfews. Blood in the streets. The next great crisis is not going to be financial but social. Immigration has always been there. Now it’s the problem? This is the fall of democracy. Democracy was born in ancient Greece, yet for more than a thousand years it was dismissed. It was replaced by monarchies, oligarchies, tyrannies. John Adams, 2nd President of the United States, said: “There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” And: “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.” That sounds a lot like today. Look at the Arab world. Places like Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, they rank among the countries with the highest GDP, the safest cities on earth. Abu Dhabi and Dubai top the lists of global safety and low crime. The paradox? They too are built on immigration. 80% of the population is non-native. This forces us to face countless questions, doubts, and reflections on the future of the West, and of so-called “democracies” A term thrown around today with little connection to its true origins.

The crime supercycle is indeed very real. While it’s true the industry has historically been ripe for abuse it has noticeably increased since politicians launched meme coins and numerous court cases were dropped further enabling the behavior. Laundering groups and small OTC brokers have seemingly won the battle for Lazarus Group after successfully laundering recent hacks (Bybit, DMM Bitcoin, WazirX, etc) with ease. I estimate the Black U market on Tron is no less than $5-10B and largely unattributed. A number of teams sit and watch collecting fees doing nothing when >50% of the activity for their protocol comes from stolen funds. Influencers and KOLs face zero repercussions for scamming followers / projects. Courts siding with smart contract exploiters due to outdated laws. Can we fix the system if the vast majority of people still do not care unless they lose money? It's concerning about what the long term ramifications may be even if these decisions benefit us in the short term. If you ever wanted the opportunity to extract from the industry there's not been much of a better time. Take a chance what's the worst thing that could happen if everyone's already doing it? That said there's never been a worse time to be doing black hat (phishing, social engineering, robberies) vs gray hat activity when the current environment is favorable.
