Match results for 2024, reported today, suggest again that interest in AHFTC is low. Of n=73 programs participating in the match n=30 were filled and n=43 went unfilled (59% of programs unmatched). Of n=129 available positions, n=73 filled and n=56 (43%) unfilled. #NRMP

So important for us as a HF community to recognize the disparities that exist in delivery of AHF therapies. Out now our multi center study shows real world racial and sex disparities in those referred to AHF programs. Women need to be referred more.

EHR triggers are good within your own system, however we found 51% of referrals came from outside the programs system. Aligning those providers is more going to be more complex and a big gap in access.

Agree @ajaysmd that in community based systems it is not possible to mandate referral for many reasons. Our database is also able to provide a ‘report card’ of GDMT.
