@the_junka Actually not the same thing, since the aerial shows Pest from south to north, and the people walking towards Gellért hegy on Buda from north to south.

@GWaldmensch So true! Since this month I work at the BiodiversityCenter in upper Austria, and the entomological survey shows the exactly same image as you -just in reality. Biomass is rapidly decreasing and species disapear. On a lighter note, there is a fish in the air in the 2020 image.😂

Shifting Baseline Syndrom.

@rohitshinde121 Yes, you are absolutely right about carbs, which are the main issue here. I believed for 10+ years, that it's all about calories in-out and exercise, but that's just half of the story. Times are stressful and gained weight anyway. Now I eat low carb-high fat - better than ever.

1. Not unique to Indian women, happens with men too. 2. Carb slop will do that to you. 3. Pregnant women are told to "eat for two" when in reality you only need about 400-500 extra calories in 3rd trimester. 4. Post-partum diet is carb + fat slop in the name of tradition. 5. No understanding of strength training and muscle building. 6. No cardio. Not even much walking. 7. Understanding of weight loss often doesn't include the concept of calories in, calories out.

How do Indian women go from this to this in just a few years ?

@TimothyEveland 1200s, regarding armour, ut culturaly Renaissance. For 500s you could have chosen celtic or germanic armour, to make it fit better with the later ones.

@MalayDTraveller @konstructivizm This Image is 100% AI generated, has nothing in common how real mountain ranges look like. There are many real photographs by real astronauts. Or you could also look at it on Google Earth with the 3D function.

@konstructivizm Seen many mountain ranges up close, but never realized how sharply the Himalayas carve that curve against the horizon from space. Makes you feel how massive plate tectonics really are 😍

@KingVelesI I assume you talk about ego-shooter games. I never liked those, I'm an action-RPG guy, and those games always inspired my imagination. I drew bestiaries, built a miniature castle in the yard, knitted mail and wanted to explore the real world. Now I'm a professional sculptor.

No matter how much you love gaming (I sure did), you'll probably regret the time you've spent on it one day. Sure, you can cope by telling yourself you are "learning stuff", "increasing your problem-solving skills", "improving your reflexes", etc., but deep down, you know that's BS, as I did in my gaming days. Once that screen goes dark, you have NOTHING to show for all the hours of your life you've poured into it. They're gone forever. Sure, you got some cheap dopamine out of it. For a minute, you felt that sweet sense of progress and accomplishment. But that was merely fake progress and the illusion of accomplishment. Back in reality, you did nothing but sit in a chair while moving pixels on a screen. Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of hours poured into mastering a skill that is completely inapplicable to anything in the real world. Had you devoted that time to a worthy skill instead, you would've been a master craftsman, artist, athlete, musician, you name it, by now. It's not too late, though. You still have a choice. You can keep whittling your life away while moving strong, intelligent, capable, and impressive characters on a screen, or... you can become one of them. Choose wisely, for time is the stuff life is made of, and you have less of it than you think. As a former passionate gamer, let me tell you: There's far more joy, accomplishment, and fulfillment to be found in the real world.

@EEnergyarts @PillarsotPast I worked in nature history museums (Budapest HU, Stralsund DE, and Karlsruhe DE and measured a LOT of skulls. Acuracy matters verry much, and optics make a difference, that's why we use calipers and not tapes. Btw I studied mammal anatomy and morphology.

@JasperSeba35168 @PillarsotPast Jasper is being very insincere or perhaps is just ignorant of human biology...Skulls like this have been found and verified with different cranial plates and volumes.

@_lll_llll_lll_ @PillarsotPast That's exactly my point, the measure would show a smaller size, if a caliper would have been used, how it should have been done. I worked in nature history museums and measured a LOT of skulls. Acuracy matters verry much, and optics make a difference.

@JasperSeba35168 @PillarsotPast Naturally elongated skulls do not have a protruding forehead. Figure 4 is not natural. The natural ones have a more elegant look for me.

@PatrickSqueeb @PillarsotPast If you put the tape measure not exactly on the thing you are measuring, it will corrupt the measurement. if you put it in front, the skull will look smaller, if you put it behind, it will appear bigger. Perspective matters!

@truthpole I think the aliens you talk about are not extraterrestrials, but rather psychoactive substances, like mushrooms. If you think about, that fungi connect different organisms through mycels and enable different species to exchange substances. This makes more sense to me.

🚨 A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT Dear Algorithm, please show this post to open minded people You found out that an Ancient Race of godlike humanoid Aliens genetically engineered Human race approximately 200,000 years ago and this gets covered in mainstream media with substantial evidence. Would that cause Hysteria in you or would you be able to handle it?

@PulpCovers I had the same thoughts myself. While I absolutely love the art of J.Howe and A.Lee, I miss verry much, that every interpretation since isn't original, but is based on theire artworks and even more so on the movies. I too want to see original art, inspired by the books.

@Mookafish Sorry, you're wrong! Absolutely everything belongs to the Universe, even yourself, we don't even have full controll of ourself. 😅 But ... I'm ALL in favor of exploring the bodies of our solar system, and eventually beyond!!!! 🤘

@EnoNico1 @sheepswin I'm more in favor of Guillermo Del Torro and/or Peter Jackson, but still agree with you. Though Raimi is a little too Disney-ish for my taste.

@sheepswin I’m sure that if you give them the money, Verbinski, Raimi or Cameron could do an incredible sequence mixing action and horror. Verbinski’s attack of the Kraken is an all timer sequence.

@sheepswin Even though Nolan is one of the greatest regisseurs, I have never connected him to mythology, and even less to mythological creatures. Guillermo Del Torro or Peter Jackson would be much more fitting to this genre imo!
