What Israel is doing in the Middle East right now violates every precept of international law. It is acting with utter disregard for other nations’ sovereignty, attacking civilians and infrastructure at will, and allowing pogroms against Palestinians. Where is Canada’s voice??

In 2014, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) made sure not to inspect the Russian trucks filled with munitions but still issued public statements that the trucks were "inspected" by Russians. Red Cross also refused to distribute the weapons.

Trevor Tombe warns that “uncertainty” from Alberta separation could cost jobs. But he overlooks the obvious source of uncertainty that has been driving investment and jobs away for the past decade: Ottawa’s own policies. C-69, the tanker ban, carbon pricing, clean fuel rules, emissions caps, and years of unpredictable federal intervention have made Canada—especially Alberta—a far less certain place to invest. Investors aren’t reacting to the prospect of Alberta independence. They’ve been reacting for years to federal laws that block pipelines, delay projects, and keep our resources from reaching global markets. The path back to investment certainty and job growth isn’t more federal “process reform.” It’s Alberta taking control of its economic future and creating a stable, predictable framework for developing the resources the world clearly wants and values.

King Charles has no business meddling in the internal political affairs of Alberta.

A peer-reviewed study published yesterday in a leading scientific journal found that closing a drug consumption site led to NO INCREASE in overdose deaths, but instead an INCREASE in life-saving addiction treatment. This is the first Canadian study of its kind to use individual-level, linkable health data. Here is what the study found after the drug consumption site closed: There was no increase in deaths. There was no increase in emergency department visits. There was no increase in suspected opioid-related EMS events. But here is what did increase: The number of people accessing real addiction treatment. After the site closed, users were more likely to access opioid agonist therapy. Treatment rates at the closed site actually exceeded rates at a comparable site that remained open. In the authors' own words: "...an increase in mortality was not observed despite the closure of the [supervised drug consumption] site and in the context of an apparently worsening local drug supply." "...weekly [opioid agonist therapy] dispensing among Red Deer clients increased significantly following the public announcement of site closure, and the trend continued throughout the post-announcement period." Left-wing politicians have spent years promoting drug consumption and injection sites as a solution to the addictions crisis. If closing a drug consumption site leads to more people getting life-saving treatment and no increase in deaths, why is the federal government still approving more of them? Given this new study, I think this question has never been more valid to ask. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/RYMJV5SU…

"Documents uncovered by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation outline fancy meals, delectable spreads and high-priced dining for the boards of some Crown corporations." The Royal Canadian Mint’s board spent $12,334 in 2025, including $2,429 at a steakhouse. The Business Development Bank’s board of directors billed taxpayers $20,864 for meals in 2025. The National Gallery of Canada’s board members spent $18,262 on meals. The National Capital Commission’s board members spent $12,566.
