No, there really isn't a word as powerful, and sadly, because the actual definition fits these people so precisely, the word itself is far too tied to a single race to apply it to any others, but the comparison stands. Because trash is trash, no matter what color the bag is.
HOWEVER, should you happen to treat each person you meet as an individual instead of the aggregate of a group, you might find that the word never even enters your mind, because you'll avoid the trash anyway.
And no issue will arise, because you'll be dealing with Mike, not a black guy named Mike. All that racial shit goes away when you stop seeing the group before the individual.
