I have two complaints/observations about working while pregnant: - if men got pregnant, MAT leave would be a year+ by default in the U.S. - I dont think pregnant people talk about working while pregnant enough. Yall be mad quiet for the sake of professionalism or people not seeing you as incompetent..but i think we need to create more awareness about how much this SUCKS lmaoo

These women were attacked and robbed along San Pablo July 5th and Oakland Police are asking for help IDing them. This happened in the area of 55th and San Pablo around 6:30PM. OPD says this suspect was involved in FOUR similar incidents in the area. While OPD has made an arrest, they’re still looking for the victims so they can make an official report and any additional video that could help the investigation. Note: it’s not often OPD release surveillance like this. The capitan on this case is the same one who is working the 13+ (possibly as many as 30+) Westlake Christian Terrace robbery and attacks I reported on last week. #Oakland

Over the last year the tools I use to work have completely changed. - Nix for dev env - GitHub copilot for code completion - Cursor replaced neovim for everything but Go - ChatGPT for debugging, code design, discovering deeper concepts - Kitty as my terminal emulator - Yabai and skhd for window management

GitHub please give me an option to turn off relative times. I am tired and sleep deprived and have no interest in figuring out what time it was 15 hours ago.

Do I wish I lived in a low-tax state? No. Fuck no. I’d rather live in states with abundant social services, voting rights, women’s rights, labor rights, environmental protection, LGBTQ+ rights, plentiful public spaces, longer lifespans with a higher quality of life, diverse opportunities in public education, assistance for the homeless and less advantaged, higher taxes on the rich (including me), growing public transportation, low crime, and an educated workforce You know, states in America’s heartland, like California and New York
