Today's CPI report not only solidifies the Fed will hold rates, but will be on watch for higher energy prices creeping into other prices & what could make them hike rates. Members will push harder for that two sided language that three members dissented on last meeting.

Tuesday at 1130 am the Senate is expected to vote to confirm Kevin Warsh to be a governor on the Federal Reserve for a 14-year term. That sets up a second vote for him to be confirmed as Fed chair likely Wednesday.

Four FOMC members dissented on today's policy decision — the first time since October 1992. Miran preferred to cut rates, while the other dissents objected language in the policy statement. @jenniferisms explains:
