The life of a millennial: - Graduated into the Great Recession - Entry level jobs required 3 years experience - Pensions replaced by the 401k - Promoted at work meant a 2% raise & 200% more responsibility - Felt stability in life then a pandemic - Highest inflation in 50 years deleted pay raises - Home prices doubled overnight forcing permanent renters - Childcare costs 1 month of rent - Juggling aging parents, young kids, burnout from work & the cost to live - AI causing mass layoffs during peak earning years

New Orleans' famous Cafe Du Monde being open since 1862 is fascinating because the city was actively being captured by Union forces and some guy said "This is a perfect time to open my coffee & beignet stand"

@schadjoe Well, since West Coast teams have a tough time making it to the championship game, I think we should move it to 7:30.

Starting last year, tipoff for the NCAA men’s basketball championship game was smartly moved from Monday at 9:20 pm to Monday at 8:50 pm Eastern. Would you like to see it at 8:20 pm?

Here we go. It's transfer portal week... College basketball programs are openly budgeting $10-15 million payrolls. Kentucky spent a reported $22 million on one roster. North Carolina spent $14 million and lost in the first round. Houston is ready to spend "more than ever." The portal opens Tuesday. Agents have been cutting deals since December. Programs are calling players' agents 10 days into the season based on box scores. The question remains...where does this money come from? Athletic departments are scrambling to fund $10M+ basketball payrolls on top of football. On top of facility upgrades. Donation models can't scale to meet this. Booster fatigue is real. Schools need to be building actual revenue infrastructure NOW, even though it's hard not to just focus on the next week in this industry. Athletic departments need recurring, non-dilutive revenue streams that don't depend on a donor writing a bigger check every year. We are in a payroll arms race. The question is whether your school's revenue model can keep up.

🚨BREAKING: Arizona Wildcats forward Koa Peat opens up about his true calling — using his platform to share the Gospel rather than chasing basketball as his ultimate purpose.🚨 “I don’t think basketball is my purpose. I think being able to have this platform to share The Gospel is really my purpose.” What a powerful testimony from a talented young athlete whose dad is a pastor. Peat isn’t walking away from the game entirely, but he’s making it crystal clear where his heart is anchored. There’s a revival going on in sports right now — athletes boldly prioritizing faith, purpose, and the Gospel over fame and fortune. Stories like this are popping up more and more. Continue to pray for this revival. Pray that more athletes use their platforms to point people to Jesus. 🙏🏽

NEW: Over $50,000 has been raised for a Domino’s delivery driver who went out of his way to get his customer's Diet Coke when he realized that Domino's was out. 68-year-old Dan Simpson of Boise, Idaho has gone viral for his kind act. "[Dan] had stopped at the store himself to pick up Diet Coke for us. On a busy Friday night. During deliveries. Completely out of his own time and effort," the customers said on GoFundMe. "[Dan's] been working at Domino’s as a second job for 14 years… and he’s retiring in just a few weeks..." About $50,000 has been raised for Dan so far. Amazing. Video: katey_93 / tt.

The NCAA is expected to finalize an expansion of the men’s and women’s tournaments to 76 teams soon after the completion of this year’s March Madness tournament, per Yahoo Sports' @RossDellenger. Barring something unforeseen, “it will happen,” a high-placed source told Dellenger. The proposal would add eight games to the First Four, with 24 teams playing in an opening round before advancing into the second round.
