@thewarzonewire AIM-260 finally breaks cover. That clean four-fin design is pure speed and range. Europe's Meteor is capable but this pushes the gap wider again.

Secretive AIM-260 Air-To-Air Missile Finally Breaks Cover The AIM-260 has been in development for years as a much-needed longer-range successor to the venerable AIM-120 AMRAAM. twz.com/air/secretive-…

@RealAirPower1 Seen this up close on the Harrier at RIAT. That thin explosive line between life and death, embedded right in the acrylic. Incredible engineering.

You usually see these cords on specific aircraft like the Harrier, F-35B, or military trainers - usually aircraft that operate in VTOL modes or at very low altitudes, or have massive, single-piece canopies that are too heavy to jettison quickly. Instead of waiting for the entire frame to blow clear during ejection, the MDC detonates instantly when the handle is pulled, shattering the glass along fault lines. This allows the seat to punch straight through the weakened acrylic. It looks violent, but that's exactly what it's designed to do. 2/2

If you look closely at the canopy of some modern fighters (or even attack helicopters), you will notice a strange, zig-zagging line embedded right in the glass. It may look like an innocent defroster wire, but it’s actually a live explosive device - a Miniature Detonator Cord, or MDC to be exact. In fighter flying, where every single fraction of a second matters during an emergency, this thin explosive cord gives pilots a fighting chance to survive. 1/2

N774UA has returned to its birthplace in Everett. The world’s oldest Boeing 777 still flying anywhere in the world arrived as UA3821 from San Francisco to Paine Field. This United Airlines aircraft is line number 2 from the factory, seen here with its birthplace in the background. Any idea why it came back to PAE? 📸: TabsAZ

Integration centres before design freeze on AMCA. Design should lead, facilities follow. Not the other way around.
@Rupprecht_A@RupprechtDeino

@DefenceDecode @rajnathsingh I can understand that you tackle a lot of things in parallel & celebrate, but wouldn't it make more sense to first develop, finalise the design, determine WHO builds it WHERE and then move forward where?

$EH EHang still seems undervalued. Some investors underestimate how hard it is to bring breakthrough tech to market, especially in aviation. Yes, there are delays, but what they have built is very impressive. I still see a strong long-term opportunity here.

In the event of an emergency evacuation, every second counts. Flight crews are elite safety professionals trained to move passengers off an aircraft in seconds. Passengers must listen to their instructions and exit the aircraft immediately leaving all carry-on items behind. Any delay risks the safety of everyone on board. Leave the luggage!

Listen to Flight Attendant instructions. In the event of an emergency, LEAVE ALL BAGS BEHIND. Material possessions are not worth your life or another passenger's.

Calling the GTF crisis 'over' is an MRO mirage. When fleets fly again, they just feed the overhaul pipelines. We're swapping groundings for bottlenecks.
