Mitchell, no one cares if you responded to a request for comment. That proves nothing. We did NOT receive one, which is odd given the Daily Mail knows how to get ahold of us. If everything was on the up and up, why was The Daily Mail forced to immediately retract that their anonymous source was a Kirk Family member? Because the entire thing is BS, and we both know it. One plausible explanation remains that it was planted as fodder for your client's show so she could play victim and rage against an imaginary caricature of Erika, which is exactly what she did.

I was proud to vote for the National Defense Authorization Act, which gives a well-deserved pay raise to our brave service members and their families, so many of whom call Georgia home. @HouseGOP and I stand strongly with our military, and this bill modernizes the arsenal of freedom and gives our men and women in uniform the tools they need to fight and win.

This year’s NDAA builds on key investments in the Working Families Tax Cuts as Republicans lead the charge to restore America’s military dominance and rebuild the arsenal of freedom. This legislation provides our brave servicemembers with an overdue pay raise, strengthens our nuclear deterrence and missile defense – including construction of the Golden Dome – cuts $30 billion in wasteful spending, and revitalizes America’s defense industrial base to secure our safety, security, and prosperity. The NDAA also advances President Trump’s peace through strength agenda by codifying over 65 of the Trump Administration’s executive orders and legislative proposals. In an increasingly dangerous world, we are reminded of President Reagan’s admonition that freedom is not passed along in the bloodstream; it must be fought for and protected so the next generation may enjoy the same level of security and opportunity we have known. And that starts in Congress. This NDAA is a betrayal of American sovereignty. GOP hacks say it’s great because the House attached the SAVE Act to it. Here’s the problem with their spin: The NDAA isn’t due, and almost never passes, before November! A chart of when the NDAA passed during my years in office:

Pass the SAVE America Act! No more excuses!

@SpeakerJohnson The current administration is not even hiding their insider trading. Now you are trading our national security and sovereignty to further sell your souls to the Israeli government.

For too long, Americans struggling to make ends meet have watched as lawmakers have entered office just to leave as multi-millionaires. This type of behavior is unacceptable and diminishes the American people’s trust in this institution. Today, with passage of the Stop Insider Trading Act, House Republicans took a critically important step to restore that faith and trust in both Congress and American elections. The Stop Insider Trading Act does exactly what it says. This legislation bans Members of Congress from purchasing individual stocks from publicly traded companies, helps prevent public officials from profiting from inside information, and ensures that voters must show a valid ID when they go to the polls to vote. Despite these commonsense measures enjoying supermajority support among the American people, Democrats overwhelmingly voted against this legislation. While Democrats talk about rooting out corruption, Republicans are taking action and delivering real results.
