I’ve never… read the Book of Mormon. been to a Mormon church. read a book about Mormonism. But… I occasionally house sit for my Mormon neighbors. Their living room wall has 3 statements of faith. None align with the statements of faith my Christian Church holds.

I know what it means to me to be lds & Christian and what our church teaches.I strive everyday to follow that but I’m not nor is anyone else in the position to judge the true intentions or thoughts of another enough to proclaim them not Christian.Christ will be the judge

I feel our faith is more concerned with "Am I a Christian" by believing in and following Christ, than it is concerned with "Is someone else a Christian". If you're so busy being worried about someone else stealing your label, instead of defining that label through emulating Christ so that anyone sees the difference, then you aren't being a Christian.

I have a question for any Mormons/LDS willing to indulge me. I had a protracted discussion with one of your members* (nice guy and a good discussion), and at one point he told me that according to mormon understanding, an atheist who followed the teaching of Jesus Christ and showed love for others would be considered a Christian. The assumption was that the atheist held his position in good faith and was genuine in his disbelief of God. Do you all believe this? Is this true mormonism? *I won't mention his name because I don't intend to put him in the hot seat, and also to reduce risk in misrepresenting him. I would actually appreciate it if he kept his silence until others have had a chance to say their piece. Also, I have no intention of arguing the point in this thread. @natellewellyn I have four awesome ladies in my family ward that are single in that age range. Maybe they give up on the single ward and join family wards at a certain point 🤷‍♀️

I would add, disposable toys like play-do and bubbles, portable grill, good snacks, we bring a pack and play type thing for our littles so they have somewhere contained that’s clean to sit and play while we are hanging around outside making dinner etc.

@MamaCAllen I learned that looking through politics & religion through the same lense doesn’t lead to building relationships and seeing people as Christ would want.I have been so much happier when I learned to separate them.Some of my friends/neighbors disagree politically and it’s ok!

There’s a thing about bullies… They’ll pick on someone whom they know won’t fight back. They’ll go after someone who seems weaker. They’ll go after someone who they think they can beat. Then comes along someone who will fight them back. Then comes along someone who has no problem going toe to toe with them. The bully can’t beat this person, so they’ll bark, but they’ll do so from a distance. They’ll tell everyone how they could beat the person up, but when it comes time to fight, the bully will always find a reason they can’t fight. The bully always gets exposed. It’s wonderful to watch. I’m thoroughly enjoying Candace get hers. … and there’s something off about that text message. Mark it down.

I'm apprehensive posting this because my anxiety is at it's highest height. I don't know if it was everyone's prayers or fasting or temple prayer roll, but something may have changed. I had signed up 3 of my children for FSY this year, my son was one of them. Sunday, right after I ended my fast, my daughter came in and said, "M said he is considering still going to FSY and wants to know the dates." DON'T WORRY NAYSAYERS I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT PRESSURE HIM IN ANYWAY. He has his complete agency and I love him and want more than anything for him to make his own choices. Also, yesterday my daughter told her brother that we were celebrating Cinco De Mayo as usual (my stepmom is Hispanic). I'm making one of his favorite meals, pork tacos. He asked her to ask us if he can come over for dinner. I'm not getting my hopes up so if he says nevermind, I won't be a complete mess all over again. Once again I'm asking for prayers specifically for our family to heal and to protect and uplift my son in what he's going through. *Anyone with negative comments will be blocked. I have zero tolerance for bigotry and toxicity. #LDSX #SaintsOnX

@thesanityrevolt I don’t really crash out about what people say about us. What they say doesn’t change what I believe. I am however puzzled on why a political party or advocates of a party would lash out at us/isolate is when it would be best to come together for a common political cause.🤷‍♀️

The Mormons are all crashing out that someone disagreed with them calling it “hate” or claiming they are being “targeted”. Dude, you guys will say you “believe in Jesus” knowing that what you are saying isn’t received the way you mean it. It’s a lie. You evangelize with intentional lies. And engage in bad faith. Then throw a hissy fit when someone presents some good faith arguments. Take a chill pill. Repent, and confess the sovereignty of the trinity.

It’s sad to see from the outside what LA could be vs what it is. people still voting for the same thing are like in a bad relationship where they stay because they are afraid of change and don’t believe they can find something better. LA this is your chance to make a change!

@ScottPresler Our city tried ranked choice voting for a few years. It was horrible. We got a city council member that no one really wanted and was horrible. Ranked choice voting only leads to a rep that really doesn’t represent anyone. She has to go and so does ranked choice voting
