This weekend my middle son completed his rite of passage into manhood. A 27 mile hike. 13.5 miles out Camp 13.5 miles back I’m proud of this kiddo, it took a lot of grit, determination and endurance. He’s earned his seat at the table.

Deep Squats, Shallow Thoughts
On the left is 500 lbs in Fall 2010, my second time ever pulling 500 On the right is 605 lbs in June 2013, my first time ever doing 600 Between the two pictures I trained almost exclusively basic barbell lifts and chin-ups. And as you can see, zero hyper-trophies were achieved.

@JoshuaLisec God gives wisdom and knowledge, not schools. Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; Someone can go to the best schools and graduate a more knowledgeable fool.

Nick Fuentes figured out that he lost nearly 30lbs. Going from 155lbs to 126lbs without dieting, medications or exercise. "You just need to stop eating..." ✍️🔥

Why is it that the very thing that attracts us to someone happens to be the primary source of our relationship issues? Well, because what attracts us to someone, their strengths and weaknesses…will be polar opposites of ours. This is by design. Their strengths will offset our weaknesses, making us stronger together than apart. This gets missed in today’s modern relationships because humans live with the paradox of choice. They rarely make intentional decisions because they’re always looking for someone who doesn’t point out their weaknesses. That is why there are plenty of people you can have a love story with, but very few you can build a life with. Building a life with someone requires more than feelings. Building a life requires actions, values, beliefs, and physicality. It requires intentional choice to not have your love story end. To keep it thriving, you have to create a support system to help your husband or wife get stronger in the relationship with you, so you two become stronger together than apart. Every individual has strengths and weaknesses. A woman who understands that his strengths offset her weaknesses doesn’t tear him down she builds him up to reach his full potential. That’s why you don’t find a spouse. You choose a spouse. You choose a person and create the relationship through time, patience, and guidance. If you think you’ll find someone who will stop you from looking elsewhere, you don’t understand how relationships work. You intentionally have to choose not to look elsewhere. You support them within their weaknesses so they become stronger with you. There are hundreds of people you could build a love story with, but very few you can build a life with.

The very thing that attracts you originally to that person will end up becoming the source of conflict later.

@ImMeme0 Twitter reach and impact has become a joke. I miss older Twitter. Back in the day you could post and have genuine interactions with people and actually make friends. Now that reach is gone, it’s pretty much impossible.

I might take a break from X. I’m honestly tired of fighting the algorithm every day. My posting habits haven’t changed. Of course the content varies and I don’t expect every post to hit, but the engagement I’m getting now is noticeably lower than when I had a fraction of the followers I have today. For context, I currently have 876.9K followers and 514.3K active today. Today, for example: - My best-performing post reached 67K views (7.6%) - My lowest was 2.8K views (0.3%) - On average, my posts today reached about 1.7% of my followers I get that not every post will resonate, but getting under 2% reach on average with over half a million active followers feels pretty extreme. Curious if others are seeing the same thing or if it’s just me?
