@freshmond @antonosika For our income reconciliation! We’re not a CRM heavy firm and our process was a bit manual/done with a spreadsheet. Built a tool that analyses provider statements, and allocates the fees/then tells us what each adviser is owed based on built in splits

What places or industries are being described as “the Wild West”? This is often a clue that something is about to go 10x. Frontier cities and industries look crazy at first and then they mature. They make millionaires along the way.

Great advice from a few retiring clients recently - plan your retirement to start in early Spring and have the benefit of Spring and Summer to start retirement - and not the long dark cold nights of winter!

@DavidPenneyPRW This is also total nonsense. Advice charges aren’t bundled. 2% to 3.5% is not true either, I don’t have a client paying more than 1.55%. FCA and Unbiased also both say average is less than 2%

If you were, you’d know this template would not work. You’d become a direct customer of the pension company and it would be down to you to move the money. As you’ve just sacked the adviser.

@AlanJLSmith @richardcbishop We produced about 30 template documents in the space of an hour. And completed the copy for 4 brochures in about 45 minutes using it. Saved us probably 50+ working hours, both terrifying and exciting in equal parts

@richardcbishop I don’t know where to start. How about an example – I asked it to write a suitability report for a simple ISA investment. It completed it in about 10 seconds. Perfect? No but maybe 85% right and will get better every time as it learns more.

The impact for financial services will be huge. Who are the people and companies embracing AI in our sector?

Anybody already looking at AI supported fintech for advisers ?? I’m here writing a suitability report at Christmas and thinking we can’t be too far away from AI that can do this. One for the @plannrcrm team I reckon!

@fionasharp Great bit if kit! You can upload provider paperwork to them and get it signed by clients, can email a copy to the client and copy to support staff at the click of a button. Saves loads of time for us

Initial planning costs £6,500, pessimistic model shows clients £700,000 better off after 15 years. Decent return on investment that. But remember everyone financial advisers charge you 5% to simply check your funds (or at least that’s what I read in the paper!)

@AWMGFP I have had a go with reports, it was pretty decent at coming up with template wording (with some tweaks) but couldn’t quite get it to produce a decent full report/letter, sure it will get there though!

Got a quote from @deadhappy as I kept getting targeted adverts. £9 a month for £350k of cover. Not bad price wise. However, they have absolutely no way of writing the policy into Trust so the benefits would be taxable. Very poor and not understood by their target market I bet!

@davidcroziercfp @richardcbishop Cheers for the insight. I probably do about five as well. At the minute I try and have a meeting week, followed by a week meeting free to catch up/work on the business. I only ask because I saw a stat about how much time planners spend in meetings and my % was well under!
