Updated future roster chart after about a week of the portal being open.
Both F and D have 1-2 slots to fill from here, and both have options that could be pulled from 2027 if needed, instead of from portal/new recruits.
F stronger than D as things stand now, IMO.

@ColbyCohen36 Is this the first “big” Pandolfo transfer loss? Cant think of any other big names during his tenure. Boumedienne had an awful season but was looking forward to a bounce back year at BU…

Right now UConn, Merrimack, BU, are the only Hockey East schools to not have added a player from the transfer portal yet this year. Last year UConn did not add players from the transfer portal and hasn’t added a undergrad transfer since Viking Gustafsson Nyberg in 2024.

If you watched Lane at BU you knew how special a player he was going to be before he ever made his NHL debut. Always wondered how NHL GMs let it happen with Cole Hutson too.

Early morning thoughts… How did Cole Hutson fall? He was basically a carbon copy of Lane? Crazy. Every Team should have at least one undersized Defender that can move and produce. I get you need some size, but you need one dynamic undersized guy. Where does Xavier Villeneuve go?

@Mike556553251 @Joe_mcdonagh6 @MGeary79 There were plenty of us who knew Lane was going to be a good NHLer long before he played an NHL game. Maybe not quite to the level he's been, but anyone who was still doubting him in 2024 must've been snoozing through his two years at BU.

Remains baffling all around. Lane Hutson was always a first-round talent. Look at what he did at the NTDP. Was obvious the second he stepped on the ice at BU that NHL teams blew it.
Then they watched Cole do the same things at the NTDP, and made the same mistake two years later.

Are NHL scouts so bad that they didn't learn from Lane Hutson. Cole Hutson looks just as good and he was a mid-2nd rounder? Crazy!!!
