I used to walk my dog on this beach in 30A. Now I can’t even access it. Paradise lost. Private beaches, coming to a Florida town near you.

@florida_grand Not sure how it’ll have the same effect for Tampa. Downtown Tampa, Waterstreet, Channelside will have zero effect from a Dale Mabry stadium. Maybe Midtown Tampa, but thats been developed for years already.

To put it bluntly, Tropicana Field was the giant domino piece that led to the cosmopolitan transformation of Downtown St. Petersburg. I’ll miss the Trop but I’ll always have its memories and I’ll be grateful for what it did for and to St. Pete. The new Rays stadium on Dale Mabry will have the same effect for Tampa. #RaysUp
