Day 1-126 18 Week Recap Total sales: $49,065.22 Buy cost (COG): $8,151.57 eBay earnings: $27,362.89 Net profit: $19,211.32 ROI: 235% 540+ items sold. 126 consecutive days documented. When I started this challenge, I didn't know exactly what the numbers would look like after 4 months. What I did know was that if I consistently sourced inventory, listed every day, learned from my mistakes, & stayed in the game long enough, the results would eventually show up. There were great days. There were slow days. There were buying mistakes, broken returns, missing parts, cancellations, refunds, & plenty of lessons learned along the way. That's the reality of reselling. The goal was never perfection. The goal was progress. Looking back, nearly every meaningful gain came from doing the simple things repeatedly: Source good inventory. Buy at the right price. List consistently. Treat customers right. Learn from mistakes. Repeat. The biggest takeaway after 126 days is that success rarely comes from 1 huge day. It comes from hundreds of small decisions compounded over time. Most people overestimate what one day can do & underestimate what 126 days of consistency can do. Still learning. Still adapting. Still building. #Reselling #BuildInPublic

@DadisFIRE Man it was insane times. Worked for a private label mortgage company back then doing loans for 2 of the biggest brokerages. We were “underwriting” and approving 100% financing stated income/asset loans like candy. Just absurd to look back on now.

In 2007 or so I was called into a special project by the COO of the company I worked at. It was a huge financial services company. He asked me to identify all clients that held residential mortgage backed securities and then look at the loan profiles of the bonds (on bloomberg I could see things like percent 30 days late, 60, etc).🧵

Today we said goodbye to our protector, our best friend, our couch buddy. For 18 years, she gave exactly what we needed in our family. Someone that was always there waiting for us and loved us unconditionally as we did her. RIP Mocha ♥️

Just officially passed 1,000 reviews on Ebay feedback 🙌🏻. If you ever have any questions about Ebay or how it works, send me a DM or comment and I’m happy to help! It’s been a great option for me but does take some trial and error.

New playground for the next three years. Started in a second floor apartment almost seven years ago selling bras, dryer sheets, and oatmeal. Upgraded to a house. Then a house and two storage units. Then two houses across the street from each other. Now upgrading to a 5k sq footer which will more than 4x my space. I’ll be hiring my first full time employee here. I will be pushing for my stretch goal of 1m profit in a single year here. All the essentials are in place. Product knowledge at an all time high. An upcoming insane slate of pop culture box office releases for the next few years. Collectibles as an asset class becoming mainstream. Time to get to work!

@LazDeals I used to do really well with AB on Amazon a few years ago but they started selling direct on there in 2024.

Sharing my win with you guys 😊. Sometimes you gotta adjust the price and trust the process. Posted this two creams on Sunday at higher price and dropped it a little last night… BAM! woke up to two sales — AB Rich Cream + La Mer Crème. Costco box is almost paid for, so much inventory to go through 🤪. We’re in profit mode 🤑

🚨 MARKETPLACE SCAMMER ALERT A few minutes ago someone tried to scam me on one of my FB post of a Blackstone griddle. I wanted to share this with everyone. From my years in fraud investigations & bank fraud protection — this is one of the most common scams I've seen destroy people on Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist & more. Here's exactly how it works: 1 - They message you immediately. No questions about the item. No negotiating. They're "buying" before they've even seen it. 2 -They claim to be out of town / out of state. Conveniently on vacation. Can't meet up. 3 - They'll "send their brother" or a friend to pick it up. You never actually deal with the buyer. 4 - They push Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp — and want you to mark it sold FIRST before anything is confirmed. 5 - Then comes the play: - "I sent too much by mistake" - "You need to send the difference back" - Fake payment screenshots - Phishing links disguised as payment confirmations - Fake checks for more than the asking price 🔴 THE #1 RED FLAG: No legitimate buyer pays upfront sight-unseen and sends a third party to pick up. That is not how real people buy things. Ever. I saw this pattern hundreds of times protecting customers and banks from fraud. These scammers are organized, fast, and they prey on sellers who just want a quick sale. Protect yourself: - Cash; Venmo/Zelle for local sales in person - Never send money "back" to a buyer, Big red flag. - Never click payment links in DMs - If it feels off — it is Share this.

@thetoyinvestor I’ve had about 60 different things from 2019 to 2021 sent back to me in the last 60 days. They clearly had some sort of warehouse or storage clean out they are getting to.

@ShannonJean Interesting but risky, the top 2 items in total value are Xbox controllers that are very prone to the joysticks going bad. If most of them are in tact you can make money here depending on where it closes. I’ll be real curious to see where it ends up.

Auctions that close on Sundays can make you rich. $62,661 bid to $325, closing Sunday at noon PT. Nex Playground, Xbox systems, Nintendo Switch, and more. It breaks my rule about staying away from consumer electronics, but if you win this auction anywhere around this price, the safety zone is huge. Are you bidding? Get the link, along with instructions on getting your Resale Permit to gain access to these deals: shannonjean.com/auctions

Great way to start the day! 7 pallets of games and toys, this product takes a lot of testing and usually a fair amount of assembly but his load appears to be more “in-box” than I normally get for this category so maybe Xmas returns that aren’t really used. Let’s dive in!

@JeffSendsIt Yeah got one like a month ago, there was a big post about it on seller forums, they send the same email word for word. I responded to mine saying I was aware they were trying to manipulate the return system and I was reporting them to Amz. Never heard from them again.

Anyone getting messages like this from Amazon customers? Is there a course somewhere on how to get "free refunds". From an Account Health stand point should probably just refund the buyer the $17 and move on, but reporting to Amazon seems the right play, not that they will do anything. Buyer claims they received a used, dirty, foul-smelling, and potentially hazardous product instead of a new one. They state they were delayed opening the package due to a car accident. Upon opening, they claim the item posed a health risk to family members, including children. Buyer says they immediately discarded the product for health and safety reasons and therefore cannot provide photos or return the item. They cite Amazon policy about disposing of hazardous or unhygienic items to justify this. Buyer demands a full, immediate, unconditional refund with: -No return -No photos -No further discussion -Buyer refuses alternatives (exchange, partial refund, credit). Buyer threatens action within 48 hours, including: -Filing a complaint with Amazon -Leaving negative reviews -Posting on social media / consumer forums -Filing consumer protection complaints -Considering legal action Buyer states this is their final notice and expects written confirmation of the refund within 48 hours.

Other resellers from @ShannonJean reseller mastermind community have had success reselling rugs and even made it look fun! I collected some intel at Costco today! Should the NorCal Pressure Washer King buy a few pallets of rugs to resell?

@plasticboss Hahahaha, I’m an Amazon seller and he teaches Amazon but doesn’t sell. Trust me when I tell you he is one of the most laughed at people on this app by experienced sellers. His whole brand is trolling any business model that isn’t the one he teaches but doesn’t do himself.

Most people don't want to post online and build their personal brand because they are afraid of what people they know might think or comment. They are also afraid of what the random loser will say online. Ignore all of that. Teach yourself. Retrain the way you think. Ask yourself this question....... Why does it matter what ANYONE thinks? Give me one good reason. You can't. No one truly knows you except you. What people think will have ZERO impact on your success rate. Do what you need to do to succeed. Trust me. I lived my whole life being self-conscious. I cared too much. It held me back. All for no reason whatsoever. I made a pact with myself 5 years ago and it changed everything. I started posting videos on LinkedIn. Videos that scared the hell out of me at first. My inspiration was @garyvee I listened to him over and over and over again tell me that those losers judging you don't matter. Effff those people. Today, 85% of my new business inquiries come from LinkedIn. Guess what? He's right. They didn't matter. I had random people from high school I haven't talked to in 30 years making snide comments. Cool for them that's what they have time for. I had random strangers like the loser below who just commented on my video the other day try and tear me down. Am I going to let that guy stop me? Hell no. He doesn't matter at all. You'll find your people. Just like I'm finding so many amazing, positive uplifting people here. Remember to be strong. Your will to succeed will not be stopped by a loser like Jon Elder 🤡 Happy New Year!

I made over $400,000 net profit selling toys in 2025. Doesn't include cash back, newsletter revenue, or local cash transactions. I can't believe I actually get to type that. It feels surreal. No employees, no VA, no prep center. Just a nerd surrounded by discontinued toys in a house. I just shot out the specifics in my newsletter, but here are some fun stats to highlight for the X timeline: - Of my top 50 most profitable ASINs on Amazon, 44 of them were held under a year. On Walmart, 48 of them were held for under a year. Buy and hold doesn't need to mean you're holding for years. - Of my top 50 most profitable ASINs on Amazon, 31 of them were purchased before they were profitable. On Walmart, 43 of my top 50 most profitable ASINs were purchased before they were profitable. Drives home the most important tip I will always preach - look at a SKU for what it's going to become, not what it is at the time you scan it. - On Amazon, only 2 LEGO sets made it into my top 50 most profitable SKUs of the year. On Walmart, LEGO made up 7 of my top 50. Lots of people think buy and hold is mostly LEGO. It doesn't have to be. I love LEGO. But it's far from my most profitable brand. - I truly believe the profit can be doubled but the work output remains the same. I sold about 63,000 items this year. I'm comfortable prepping that myself. No reason I can't double my profit per sale over the coming years, especially as I get more capital and can afford to hold items longer. I love this model. Bullish. Onto 2026...
