Texas-based ISP @switch2e8 is looking to make a name for itself in rural America. Earlier this week, the company snagged a $200 million infusion of cash from Digital Alpha to push its fixed wireless access and fiber services deeper into the central U.S. rb.gy/1lbcki

@TKopelman The net worth provision for an accredited investor is actually a worthwhile despite a lot of noise around more access to private investments.

@nikillinit Worked in mass spec space in a previous life which is analogous to a nose as it moves out of labs into the world (i.e. TSA). Not sure where things stand on the biomarker level, but definitely is a thing. Probably just cheaper ways to diagnose today that are close enough.

i feel like I keep seeing more articles/reddit posts about people being able to “smell” different diseases (the one below is about cancer, and have seen ones previously about neurodegenerative disorders). Lots of comments here talk about a whole host of other things people claim to be able to smell - and there seems to be some plausibility here has anyone actually run a study that validates whether these are real or not?

Wedding presents should be small, valuable, and maybe even disposable. People don't need more kitchen appliances unilaterally shoved into their homes. The hot new wedding gifts: Z biotics and H100s

@maiab Have always found NYC people to be very friendly. You just have to know what you want.

@DallasAptGP Maybe not "need" to drive, but want to. I find it really fun to take a drive on a Sunday, taking the wheel and experiencing that through the country roads. Also - I don't want to have everything in my life connected to the internet, having downloads, etc.
