For years, Miguel Vargas was the can’t-miss Dodgers prospect who couldn't find a permanent home. After a full season with the White Sox in 2025, the surface stats (.234 AVG, 16 HR) look modest but the skills tell a completely different story. If you’re drafting in 2026, you need to look past the box score. Vargas is showing the elite plate discipline of a veteran: - Elite Eye: He finished 2025 with an 89th percentile chase rate (21.6%). He won't beat himself - Power Spike: His Average Exit Velocity jumped nearly 4 mph last year (up to 89.7 mph). - Air Power: More importantly, his Pull-Air% is trending up.
