This is a real historical man at a real point in history—Adam. It’s not “mytho-history,” as some apologists say in an attempt to play footsie with the world. No—this is a real man at a real point in time. - Johnny Ardavanis

Let’s debunk @jamestalarico & break this down, Biblically… 1. Marriage is between one man & one woman. - God invented & instituted it. Man doesn’t get to redefine it. - Ex: Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 7:2-16; Ephesians 5:23-33 - Jesus affirms this in Matthew 19:4—6 2. Homosexuality is a sin - Ex: Leviticus 18:22 (abomination); Romans 1:26-27 (contrary to nature); 1 Corinthians 6:9 (unrighteous) 3. Abortion is murder - Life begins at conception. The Bible and science affirm this (Psalm 139:13; Judges 16:17) - Bible condemns murder (Exodus 20:13) & calls for the death penalty for those that cause death to a child in the womb (Exodus 21:22-25) James Talarico & Stephen Colbert are false teachers, purposely leading people astray from the clear truth in God’s Word. Without repentance, they will spend eternity in Hell.

.@JamesTalarico: For 50 years, the religious right convinced our fellow Christians that the most important issues were abortion and gay marriage—two issues that aren't mentioned in the Bible. Jesus tells us exactly how we're going to be judged: by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, and by welcoming the stranger. Don’t tell me what you believe. Show me how you treat other people, and I’ll tell you what you believe. Jesus gave us two commandments: love God and love neighbor. There was no exception to that second commandment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, or religious affiliation.

James Talarico (@jamestalarico) is a Texas state rep who is running for the Democrat nomination for the US Senate against another intellectual giant, Jasmine Crockett, in a pathetic race for who has the greatest diminished capacity and most extreme leftist agenda. Although (perhaps better: because) he is also a seminary student at the hard-left Austin Presbyterian Seminary, he makes some of the worst and most laughable arguments I have ever heard. Scripture (or Jesus) has become a mere cipher into which he imputes his hard-left ideology. Of course biblical writers don't talk about "gay marriage" (!), just as they don't talk about incestuous marriage, for the obvious reason that same-sex intercourse and incest are prohibited as extreme sexual sins abhorrent to God. Only a daft and utterly clueless person could possibly use this as an argument for claiming that same-sex "marriage" would be of little concern (much less something good) in the mind of any biblical writer (and Jesus). Talarico's idea of determining the significance of sexual issues by counting up the number of references is juvenile hermeneutics (for example, compare the paucity of condemnations of bestiality). Some sexual offenses are so extreme that the very mention of them is viewed as scandalizing. How many times have you heard a sermon about why you shouldn't have sex with your parent, sibling, or child? I'm guessing never, but not because your pastor regards such behavior as acceptable or only marginally bad. As for abortion, Scripture is clear that humans are made in God's image and that already in the womb God is at work shaping the young child. It is not surprising that all treatment of abortion in the early church rejects abortion utterly. Talarico's assertion in a prior interview that God gave Mary the option in Luke 2 of aborting the Son of God conceived in her womb is so monumentally absurd and blasphemous that it qualifies (along with his "gay marriage" claim) for the oft-quoted lines in the movie Billy Madison: "What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.... Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." By the way, there is no scripture promoting illegal immigration, open borders, and massive welfare states but that doesn't stop Talarico from insisting on these as "biblical." Moreover, his proof-texting of the Parable of the Sheep and the Goat in Matthew 25 for these purposes is a false reading of the passage, which is about the nations being judged on the basis of their reception of Christian missionaries, as the the Mission Discourse in Matthew 10 indicates (youtube.com/watch?v=UjJ0B-…). With the Great Commission in view, the idea that Matthew thought that people would be judged first and foremost on the basis of how much of a social justice warrior they were is ludicrous. The second greatest commandment, "Love your neighbor as yourself" in Leviticus 19:18 includes in the context (19:17) a command to reprove your neighbor for wrongdoing lest you incur guilt for failing to warn him. That's part of what love means (or as Paul states in praise of love in 1 Corinthians 13, "love does not rejoice in wrongdoing"). Talarico is using this commandment to promote the very things--the degradation of homosexual practice and the taking of innocent human life in the womb made in God's image--that both the author of this commandment and Jesus who appealed to it abhorred. As a seminary professor for over 3 decades I can say that giving him a D for his exegesis and application of Scripture would be due to grade inflation. This man is an intellectually vacuous heretic. But enough of my high praise for him.

This spoiled and America-hating radical needs a crash course in Communist China to gain some perspective: Up to 50 million Chinese people were starved to death, tens of millions died of mob and state violence during the Cultural Revolution; thousands of peaceful student protesters were gunned down in Tiananmen Square; and countless were dragged from their homes, forcibly quarantined during Covid… Yet she claims to endure “unprecedented oppression” in America on a daily basis—while sitting comfortably in front of CNN, lecturing the us about her “suffering.”

CONTINUED… 3. Illegal immigration is a sin Jerusalem had walls. Heaven has borders. There’s nothing in Scripture that says we should let any and everyone into our country, especially as it affects the citizens of that nation. The whole idea of mass, illegal immigration, cannot be defended with The Bible. - Romans 13:1–7 makes it abundantly clear that God expects us to obey the laws of the government. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law. * The only exception to this is when a law of the government forces us to disobey a command of God (Acts 5:29) 4. Our love for God is shown through keeping His commandments - Love ≠ acceptance of what God calls sin in His Word. - Love cannot be redefined by shifting cultural norms & practices

You are confusing Statics with Dynamics. 1. Energy Creates Structure in Open Systems You treat the cell like a closed box where energy just breaks things. Earth is an Open System. When energy flows through a system, it doesn't just destroy; it organizes. (See: Tornadoes, Whirlpools, Benard Cells). Life is a Dissipative Structure. It exists because the sun is trying to burn the Earth, and Life is the most efficient way to scatter that heat. 2. Molecules Don't Care, But Math Does Tour is right: Atoms have no intent. But the Causal Topology has an attractor. The system evolves to maximize Entropy Production. Matter self-organizes into Life not by accident, but to solve a thermodynamic bottleneck. Jeremy England's work on "Dissipative Adaptation" proves this mathematically. 3. It's Not a Miracle, It's a Phase Transition You call it a miracle because you can't see the intermediate states. Water turning to Ice looks like a miracle if you don't understand freezing points. Abiogenesis is simply the point where Chemical Complexity achieves Criticality. The Verdict: Life isn't fighting Physics. Life is what Physics does when you flood it with energy.

The problem encountered in all experiments to create life in a lab is that virtually all forms of energy destroy the fragile building blocks of life. Chemistry and physics do not naturally move in a life-friendly direction. In the words of James Tour, chemist at Rice University, "Molecules do not care about life." They do not naturally come together to form a living cell.
Divinely Designed@DivinelyDesined

The naturalistic Origin of Life is impossible. Abiogenesis requires so many miracles, it makes the resurrection of Jesus look common by comparison. You could put all the parts of a living cell together in a sterile solution, and after a bajillion years they still would not self-assemble into a living cell. Life requires two things: 1. Life requires functional information. That is, informational content which gives functional purpose to molecules. Without functional information, molecules in Life would have no purpose and therefore be unable to function. In all human experience, only intelligence creates functional information. 2. Life requires energy. In order to replicate and conduct metabolic processes, Life requires a constant supply of usable energy. Not just any energy will do - throwing your phone on the grill will not charge it, will it? It needs a specific type of energy, supplied in a specific way that your phone can use it. Life needs the same. In all human experience, only intelligence is able to build systems that can harness and process energy. But here is the paradox: These two things - information & energy - exist in fundamental opposition to each other. Virtually all forms of energy in the world destroy Life's simple molecules. Chemistry and physics do not naturally move in a life-friendly direction. They do the opposite. Life's very fragile molecules require very precise and specific conditions to exist. Conditions that can only be created and maintained by intelligent agents. Origin of Life research has proven this, as virtually every experiment claimed to show "progress" in OOL Research requires highly constrained, specific conditions and sophisticated chemical recipes that could never possibly exist in nature. Life must have been Divinely Designed. Only intelligence can invent functional information, and only intelligence can engineer the systems necessary to harness & produce energy for Life's systems. That's what The Science says.

@Da_ry_guy22 @TimONeill007 @atheistnightmrs @TheSkepticWiz This again? How many times? A. The Church burned lots of people for science. B. Name one. A. Bruno, obviously. B. Actually, Bruno was an anti-science mystic, and his trial mentioned only theological heresies not science. A. You clearly support burning people at the stake!

Why I Am Not a Christian ? “I say quite deliberately that the Christian religion, as organized in its churches, has been and still is the principal enemy of moral progress in the world. You may think that I am going too far when I say that that is still so. I do not think that I am. You find as you look around the world that every single bit of progress of humane feeling, every improvement in the criminal law, every step toward the diminution of war, every step toward better treatment of the colored races, or every mitigation of slavery, every moral progress that there has been in the world, has been consistently opposed by the organized churches of the world.” — Bertrand Russell, Why I Am Not a Christian (1927). @ProfCarlSagan He should have stuck to philosophy. He was a terrible historian. E.g. slavery existed all over the world. The only culture that abolished it and made it unthinkable was the Christian west that he blamed for this worldwide evil.

I just got off the phone with one of my surgical oncologists and we got to discussing various new therapies and the Covid vax came up. He made the point that we knew very well that we couldn't predict how some cells would pull in that vaccine. Yet our experts never told us that. And as my doc friend put it, "Now we know that there are some women who will never be able to have children because of the way that vaccine was absorbed into their immune system." He said if they had studied it longer first, they would have figured it out prior to mass distribution. And the medical bureaucrats at NIH knew this, but to them that was just the "cost of doing business." This was not an alternative therapy type guy telling me this but a mainstream, big-system oncologist (with an extensive background in research). They knew. But NIH threatened and cowed all of these medical professionals not to sound the alarm. Yet still, no one has been held accountable.

The massacre of pro-democracy protesters at Tiananmen Square began in the early hours of June 5, 1989. By the daylight when the iconic image of “Tank Man” was filmed, thousands had already been killed. The crackdown continued for several days afterward, much of it carried out at night. The blatant revision of this massacre has been made possible only by the fact that young Americans are not taught the truth about this atrocity, and by willing influencers who spread lies to advance leftist agendas. Nothing is known about the fate of “Tank Man,” the symbol of Chinese people’s resistance to communist totalitarianism. He was most likely arrested and “disappeared”. By contrast, Rene Good was a victim of political radicalization. She died while resisting law and order in a democratic society.
