After Trump disses Starmer, Irish leader Micheál Martin jumps in to defend Starmer and encourages Trump to get along with him. Martin then pivots to defending Ukraine -- a country Trump also dissed earlier in the event.

@atrupar That’s fair enough, I was just commenting on that clip nothing else. He did stand up to Trump after his criticism of Starmer and whilst I don’t like Starmer I do believe he is correct in keeping us out of this illegal war.

@atrupar That is a real leader, he knows what he’s talking about without getting aggressive and without name calling. I’m not sure Trump was taking much notice because he doesn’t have much of a concentration span and it seemed to be going over his head. Well done to the Irish leader.
