@AutoInfatuation Bought in the trade as a main Volvo dealer part exchange - plenty out there for little money, fortunately not in the massive tax bracket either with reasonable MPG on a run too.
You can only have one of the following SUV’s/4x4’s for Family stuff and general day to day duties. What are you having?
2007-2011 BMW X5 E70 30/35d (Ideally SE spec as pictured for me, Pan Roof, Comfort seats & HUD would be great)
2007-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 3.0 CRD (Bi-Xenon’s & Sunroof are a must for me)
2005-2011 Mercedes-Benz ML W164 3.0/4.0 CDI or 5.0 V8 if you’re lucky. (Had two of these and really liked them, most are low-ish spec, high spec ones are harder to come by but worth it)
2009-2014 Volvo XC90 2.4 D5 5-Pot Auto.
(SE Lux trim with the Dynaudio, Sunroof, Light Leather & Bi-Xenon’s for me spec wise)
@ListerLawrence Speak with BM Catalysts - based in Mansfield, sure they’ll replicate your existing unit if they don’t already have it in the range. BMCats.com
DPF HELP: I need a DPF filter for my L405 2017 Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 with ad blue.
JLR are quoting £4700 but it’s on back order with no date on delivery. Can’t find any aftermarket ones - can anyone point me in the right direction please?
@MartinSLewis Had this issue with the @O2 helpline. Couldn’t remove the outstanding balance of the handset.
Advise was to follow through with the cancellation, then call back in to confirm the refinancing of the handset balance - all fairly straightforward, just took 60+ minutes to arrange.
Beware unclear O2 messaging!
When it notifies you about its hike on its airtime price hike - you've a RIGHT to leave penalty free within 30 days of notification.
Yet it also says “If you've a device plan, you'll still need to pay this off in full”. That DOESN'T mean you have to pay it all now, you can keep paying for the handset monthly with it, but move your Sim (ie airtime plan) elsewhere.
@LaurenE81072197@MartinSLewis@lebara@UswitchUK Just call O2 (202) and say you’re looking to leave due to the incoming price rise - they’ll try and reduce the cost to retain you, but the best offer was around £20-25.
Once you confirm you intend to leave, they’ll provide a PAC code via text message which allows you to keep..
O2 price rise feels like a mockery of Ofcom’s consumer protection!
O2 has announced that from April 2026, mobile customers will see their monthly bills rise by MORE THAN IT TOLD THEM, £30 a year – up 40% from the £21.60 annual increase previously written into their contracts. Full help to beat it here, you need act quick... moneysavingexpert.com/news/2025/10/o…
Here is my press statement on this debacle...
----------------
This move feels to me a bit like it makes a mockery of @Ofcom's new 'pounds and pence' consumer protection regime, which came in at the start of this year. It was the regulator's solution to hideous above-inflation, mid-contract price hikes was that on sign-up firms should tell you in advance, in pounds and pence, the price hikes you'll face during the contract period.
Sky has side-stepped this from the start by saying it wouldn't tell customers of the rises before they sign up, but instead when it does annual price hikes it will allow them to leave penalty free.
Now O2 is also dancing away, increasing contracts by more than it said it would when people signed up. And while that means all its impacted mobile customers can leave penalty-free – and many should – we know few will. Most will likely just have to suck up a rise that was more than they were told when they signed up.
The worry is now O2 has opened the door to this behaviour other mobile firms will feel less worried about following suit. It's a great regret that when Ofcom consulted on these changes it didn't listen to the proposal I and others made to simply ban above-inflation, mid-contract price rises (or any mid-contract rises).
And it's worth noting the rises O2 had told customers of in advance were already usually far above inflation, but now will typically be at least 7% and up to 30%. And all this adds more inflationary pressure to the economy in its own right.
@diomyx1 agree with you, motortrade as a whole has had quite the rough year - can only say it’s after many significantly good years during COVID however..
Simply think we’ve forgotten what life was like without the demand for the most part.
Think the trade simply got too complacent. 🫡
@FurberFurberson 100% not worth the hassle and expense of expensive SEO campaigns, especially within the industry that's got big PLC's with significant budgets.. I'd suggest small targeted spends on Facebook/Instagram or LinkedIn as much more cost effective.

Coach travel update 🚌
In the early part of this week we have been working tirelessly with our trusted travel providers to try to source additional coaches after selling out our initial convoy of 14 immediately after our semi-final victory.
These efforts have resulted in us securing transport for a limited number of additional supporters, and, as of early evening on Tuesday, we have begun working through the waiting list to offer places to those who added their names.
Our extensive efforts to provide safe and reliable transport mean that, in total, we will be able to take more than 1,000 supporters to Wembley. Despite this, however, demand will still far outweigh supply and we will therefore sadly be unable to accommodate everyone who joined the waiting list.
We will make an announcement when all coaches are at capacity to enable those who are unsuccessful as much time as possible to make alternative arrangements.
Would anybody make use of this for their kid?.. 🧒
My lads Xmas present a few years ago - had new uprated batteries recently, sorted a replacement charger and operates all fine.
Would like it to go to a good home for someone's kid to get into biking! 🏍
