Today, we approved and granted emergency use authorization for updated mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (2024-2025 formula) to include a monovalent (single) component that corresponds to the Omicron variant KP.2 strain of SARS-CoV-2. fda.gov/news-events/pr… The mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have been updated with this formula to more closely target currently circulating variants and provide better protection against serious consequences of COVID-19, including hospitalization and death.

Team #SAVEO2 representing at #SCCM2024 SAVEO2 is done enrolling. In this randomized, stepped-wedge trial across 8 ICUs, including #BAMC A protocol was put in place to prompt clinicians to drive down supplemental oxygen with an O2 saturation floor of 90%. The goal was room air, including vented patients. A systematic review with meta-analysis finds no benefit to the use of 4-factor PCC for traumatic hemorrhage. This really changes nothing right now. Only one study included was an RCT, and the rest were observational.
