I used to have one crippling addiction: Planning. I loved the cheap dopamine rush of finding books to read & videos to watch. But when it came to taking action, my motivation tanked. This is all changed when I heard this story:

@Joshh_designs Governments won’t have the money to pay for UBI. Keep in mimd that income tax revenues will fall, while at the same time more people need help. You can’t print money because that’ll cause hyperinflation. It will lead to riots or even civil war.

@marcvanderchijs Not a great take. You can’t liquidate property like a share & people need a place to live. Any major job losses will force gov to step in and support and provide a UBI like payment which would mitigate this scenario.

Prediction: A "Neo-Luddite" movement will emerge amongst young people so fed up with falsity online that they give it up entirely. You're seeing this already with young people avoiding social media entirely. Once AI eventually ruins social media, that'll be the tipping point.
