ERASING HISTORY: Trump’s Justice Department is now moving to erase some of the most serious January 6 convictions. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has filed motions asking a federal court to vacate convictions against key members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, including Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and Proud Boys leaders like Ethan Nordean and Joseph Biggs, who were found guilty of seditious conspiracy for plotting to stop the peaceful transfer of power. These were among the final convictions still standing after Trump issued sweeping pardons and commutations on Day One. Now, the DOJ is attempting to wipe them away entirely, even after juries heard extensive evidence of coordinated planning, weapons stockpiles, and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Scientists in Japan have reportedly developed a recycling process capable of recovering up to 90% of lithium from used batteries This is important because it means less mining, less waste, and lower harm to the environment. It can also help provide more materials for electric car and phone batteries. If this works on a large scale, it could make future batteries cheaper and more sustainable.

Congress controls the purse. That's not a suggestion. It's the Constitution. The Trump Administration moved $1.25 billion to his “Board of Peace” with no congressional authorization. I introduced the PEACE Act to put a stop to it.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - The Lighting of the Beacons In Tolkien’s books, the beacons of Gondor were a manned signal network across seven hills between Minas Tirith and Rohan. Guards kept fires ready and fresh horses for messengers. Unlike the film, Pippin never lights the beacons. Denethor orders them lit himself, and Gandalf and Pippin see them already burning as they approach Minas Tirith. Tolkien also includes a second call for aid: Denethor sends the rider Hirgon to deliver the Red Arrow to King Théoden, and that message more than the beacons persuades the Rohirrim to ride. Peter Jackson’s film changes this completely, showing Pippin lighting the first beacon and the chain of fires alone summoning Rohan. It’s a stunning cinematic moment, but very different from Tolkien’s original version.

Trump’s latest proposal to gut the U.S. Forest Service isn’t about efficiency—it’s about walking away from the stewardship of our nation’s forests. It means fewer firefighters during fire season. It means less protection for our watersheds. And it means walking away from forest stewardship at a time when we should be doubling down. Leaving our communities vulnerable to catastrophic fires, water insecurity, and potential loss of forests—and doing so without Congressional approval—that’s why we are fighting back! 🌲@NRDems

BREAKING: Trump announces plan to allow corporations to dump coal ash – which is TWICE as radioactive as *nuclear fuel* – into our drinking water! Yes, you read that right. Trump’s EPA is proposing to weaken rules for the safe disposal of super-mega-toxic ash produced by burning coal that contains hazardous heavy metals and contaminates groundwater. “The Trump administration proposed easing standards for monitoring and protecting groundwater near some coal ash sites, and rolling back rules that require the cleanup of entire coal properties rather than just the sites where ash was dumped. The revisions would also make it easier to reuse coal ash for other purposes,” reports the Associated Press. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said the proposal reflects the agency’s “commitment to restoring American energy dominance, strengthening cooperative federalism, and accommodating unique circumstances at certain (coal) facilities.” The rules were strengthened by – you guessed it – the Biden administration a few years ago, and now Trump is trying to gut them on behalf of his cronies in Big Coal. It is shocking to see just how eagerly the Trump administration is gutting all the regulations that keep us safe. “The Trump administration just took a sledgehammer to the health protections in place for toxic coal pollution,” said Lisa Evans, senior counsel at environmental group Earthjustice. “This is yet another handout to the coal power industry at the expense of our health, water, and wallets.” He is more than willing to make us drink poison and develop terrible cancers, all so his donors can save a little bit of money on cleaning up the toxic byproducts of their carbon pollution. There is nothing sacred to these nihilistic scumbags, no respect for anything but their own bottom lines. Trump is willing to burn everything to the ground just so he can be king of the ashes – with not a care in the world for the millions of people who will suffer and die because of his decisions.

Then called his buddies with rifles to "back him up." Sgt. Dusten Mullen makes $336,000 a year—making him a top 10 earner in the Phoenix Police Department. He is currently on administrative leave—which means he's reassigned to work from home. Incident occurred outside Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.

Pete Hegseth has cut ALL educational funds for active-duty service members at Harvard and Princeton (despite him attending these schools) in favor of Christian-affiliated colleges. Our service members deserve the support they need to finish their studies, regardless of which school they attend or their religious beliefs. I’m again calling for Hegseth’s resignation on the grounds of limiting academic freedom and disregarding the separation of Church and State.

WARRIORS FIRST: Hegseth cuts 93 military fellowships at Harvard, Princeton, replacing them with Hillsdale and Liberty University. New schools were selected for "intellectual freedom" and limited ties to foreign adversaries. Hegseth holds degrees from both Princeton and Harvard's Kennedy School. foxnews.com/politics/hegse…
