With the Greenland threats, the US has gone from advancing the interests of leading democracies to advancing the interests of Russia and China. If Trump were on Putin's payroll, he could not be helping Russia more. This is a period that we Americans will look back on with shame.

China and Russia must be having a field day. They are the ones who benefit from divisions among Allies. If Greenland’s security is at risk, we can address this inside NATO. Tariffs risk making Europe and the United States poorer and undermine our shared prosperity. We also cannot let our dispute distract us from the our core task of helping to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Debates about foreign policy, legality, constitutionality, and politics aside, one thing is clear: Maduro is a bad guy and deserves no sympathy for being deposed and arrested. We are obliged to provide a lawful and fair trial. But the idea this was “unfair” to Maduro himself is hot garbage.

True. But I’d like to know where people stand with putting out a bowl of candy vs handing out candy?
Also, anecdotally, everyone I know who put out candy like this said kids were extremely respectful and didn’t just ravage the whole bowl.
As a Gen X’er, I can tell you if they would have been setting out bowls of candy like this, it wouldn’t have lasted 15 minutes.
