Why is the CBC hijacking this tragic event and turning it into a sob story about a hardworking immigrant getting separated from his family? Why should foreigners get special protections in this country? Jaskirat Sidhu broke the law and was ordered to be deported. It is NOT racist to enforce the law. The people are DONE with your sob story @CBCNews … Start putting Canadians first!

🧵People keep asking - who's getting rich from this $200 million lease - you have to wonder. If you look at the timeline of meetings and events, I also just posted, you can fit these into that picture, too. Using a recent confirmed close of $0.66 for Maritime Launch - before the huge November 2025 debenture conversion, Maritime had already issued at least 60.0 million shares at $0.05. Those shares were issued for about $3.0 million in total. At $0.66, that same block is worth about $39.6 million. Some of those shares were not "bought" for cash. Roughly $980K represents debenture-related issuances (extension fees, PIK interest, principal conversions) where recipients gave up debt or accepted shares in lieu of cash interests. Who got them? The filings show categories, not every name - Cash investors, shareholder lenders, management/directors, finder-fee recipients, debenture holders, and a subscription counterparty.

Even I'm surprised at the victory lapping the CAD Government is taking on approving Enbridge T-South (Sunrise). $ENB.TO filed the regulatory application in May, 2024. It took nearly 2 years to finally get approved. Good to see the approval, but hardly victory lap worthy.
Embassy of Canada US@CanEmbUSA

Canada is stepping up for North America. The Sunrise Expansion will boost natural gas capacity, support jobs, and strengthen shared energy supply chains, helping keep energy reliable and affordable for Canadians and Americans.

Six liberal insiders are receiving $200 million for leasing out a gravel pit They don’t even own the land. The province owns it. They’re releasing it. The RCMP needs to come in and arrest people

Someone reached out and suggested I look more closely at this. Based on the public record, this is a timeline of Maritime Launch’s RTO, lobbying activity, financing and option pricing, strategic milestones, and federal lease developments. It is shared for chronology and context. Use your own brain to determine what this means to you. Registered lobbyists / registrants associated with Maritime Launch: Liam Daly (Sussex Strategy Group), Alexandra Lee (Enterprise Canada), Steve Matier (in-house registrant), Sasha Jacob (board member / consultant registrant) Meetings reported with include: Malcolm McEachern, Mike Kelloway, Salman Arif, Marc Garneau, Ian Foucher, Mary Preville, Mitch Davies, Bianca Hossain, Julie Harb, Rachel Sutton, Audrey Milette, Nina Sartor, Denis Martel, Sean Fraser, Bill Blair, Simon Kennedy, Dominic LeBlanc, Darrell Samson, Mélanie Joly’s office, Paul Moen, Steven MacKinnon, Emily Jackson, Savannah DeWolfe, Stefanie Beck, Conor Lewis, Quinn Rinke, Renee Filiatrault, Samuel Gruchy

Those sure are some salaries with TTM revenue $15,000 CAD, massive losses ($47 million in 2025), 5–6 full-time employees + contractors.

Tell me people, how is this all not in news? Why were management not entered into lock-up agreements before the grants were given. This is playing out exactly like Lion Electric.

They jumped from $0.06 a share to $0.27 in a day or two in November and continued to climb to $0.70. Looks like there were leaks about the $200m loan/bailout of this virtually defunct firm and the market trades on it. Where is the OSC?

A bit lost in the good news of the Enbridge $4B Sunrise expansion is that 36 nations got a 12.5% stake in Enbridge’s Westcoast natural gas pipeline system last year with the first federal Indigenous loan guarantee, to help pave the way for this. It's good to be reminded that there are pathways for mutual benefit and we have good tools and willingness to find those, including in BC and including on pipelines. There's Indigenous ownership in over 5000km of pipelines in Canada. cdev.gc.ca/federal-indige…

ABSOLUTELY MUST WATCH CLIP... Deputy US Trade Representative Rick Switzer on USMCA "They can have a weak economy that is underperforming and not doing well, and Carney can feel superior." "Or they can have an economy that participates with as a partner of the U.S. economy." "And Carney can do what a grownup should do, which is figure out." "...It's my job as a person who's supposed to protect Canadian jobs and Canadian citizens and the Canadian economy to not let my ego and my feelings dictate what's best for my own economy." Q "Do you think this will have implications for the USMCA?" Switzer "Yeah, of course it is..." "Look, was Ambassador Greer in Canada? Did he meet with Carney? No." "...The grownups are in the room talking because there's a grown up in the presidency in leadership there, and I would argue there's not a grown up in Canada in charge there." "You don't go out of your way to antagonize the leader of the country that you are absolutely existentially tied to." "It's just political malpractice." @markjcarney
