Senate Democrats don’t want to fund DHS because they care more about protecting illegal aliens than taking care of the 270,000+ hardworking Americans who keep us safe. They just had ANOTHER chance to fund DHS, but they REFUSED. It’s CRAZY! It’s WRONG! If politicians in Congress won't do their jobs and pass a budget, they shouldn’t get paid. It’s safe to say Americans are taking their IDs out regularly and having a pretty easy go of it. Yet when it comes to voting, Democrats talk like requiring a photo ID is some insurmountable burden. If that were true, why would Democrats be requiring a photo ID for their voters to get into their campaign events?

I just sent a letter to Leader Thune with 24 of my Republican colleagues letting him know that until they pass the SAVE America Act, we will be voting NO on any Senate bills that come to the House floor.  Republicans made a promise to the American people to secure our elections.  President Trump is counting on us. It’s time for the Senate to deliver.

There’s only one way to be sure that only Americans are voting in our elections: Voters have to prove they’re citizens when they register to vote. Passing this requirement should be a no-brainer, but Democrats roundly oppose this commonsense policy.
