If the team involved in this had any love for halo at all, this cutscene would have chief cutting off the prophets monolog halfway through the first word with a three round burst and then it would transition to gameplay.

Some people are insinuating Vegeta was looking down on Trunks for using SSJ on Tenshinhan. I think it’s far more plausible that Vegeta was invested in how his son would do (it’s post Cell Games, so we know Vegeta openly cares for Trunks) and once he saw him go SSJ, he knew the fight was over.
