@KarimaDigital definitely spoiled. But I also feel like the commoditization of code is just making these things obsolete.
English

@Julius_eth_dev Are we just spoiled by Crypto? Lol
I wonder how the regular hackathon world is because this credit giveaway situation is degrading to people who spend hard on time working building on these platforms

I'm participating in the #EasyAConsensusHackathon organized by

@VitalikButerin @0xdavid Definitely lots of room for improvement. Also, should not be allowed to change resolution source mid-cycle (looking at you denver).
English

@0xdavid Between this and the Myrnohrad incident it's pretty clear that a median-of-3 independent sources (if not more) for anything like this should be basically mandatory
English

@MiniGoatYY blow up? not likely. Dethroned? Absolutely. This is a stress test that I think they are failing. proved to the world funds are NOT safe and everyone protocol wide may take a haircut.
English

@LukaWeb3 @ryanberckmans This is a scenario which in a regulated world, would result in a lawsuit. There is clearly a violation of contract, even if due to exploitation.
The ultimate fault on Aave is failure to consider potential systemic risk exposure of the assets they onboardes.
English

I slightly disagree. As an umbrella holder, we should not be on the hook fully for this rseth disaster per their docs. Mainnet aWETH umbrella signed up for chain-local risk on backed collateral, not wrapped rsETH minted against drained escrow and L2 risk. Umbrella's T&C (aave.com/docs/aave-v3/u……), bad debt coverage only applies to Ethereum's V3 Core Market. That means that an aWETH Umbrella staker on Ethereum mainnet shouldn’t be punished for an unbacked LRT on other chains.
Technically Aave V3 on mainnet is fully collateralized because rsETH on mainnet is fully collateralized.
Umbrella stakers on mainnet by definition did not sign up to cover losses from another chain.
English

@cardboard_86 @BoyGatorade @andyyy there are 1000+ aWETH buys on secondary. Someone believes this will re-peg and is betting on a 1.5% discount.
English

@Julius_eth_dev @BoyGatorade @andyyy Of course they're locked because all eth is borrowed, there's nothing left. Apr is low because there's no collateral to liquidate.
English

@BoyGatorade @andyyy This is due to the fact that new borrows on ETH are locked. The reason the borrow apy is dropping is because debt is being repaid and there is less debt paying interest.
English

@andyyy Seeing the borrow APY get cut in half at 100% utilization makes me think this isn't getting resolved quickly
English

@GSkrovina speed. It is relatively slow. I only use it for finding new markets to track, but beyond that, it is too slow for other data. Everything about individual markets I get from the CLOB api.
English

@Julius_eth_dev What would you improve with their gamma API?

Looks like Polymarket is launching a stablecoin.
Any large marketplace or exchange is one of the few clear examples where having your own stablecoin makes a lot of sense.
Polymarket@Polymarket
We've heard your feedback, and we're excited to announce Polymarket is getting a full exchange upgrade. Over the next few weeks, we're rolling out a rebuilt trading engine, upgraded smart contracts, and a new collateral token (Polymarket USD) to move off USDC.e. 🧵

Hot take: AI agents shouldn't have monthly subscriptions to data feeds.
They should pay per request, exactly when they need it.
That's why @Moltalyzer uses x402 micropayments on Base. $0.01-0.02 per call.

The ticker is $fries.

@chammondart @W3WxSpace I think so!! Most people here started in 2021, not 2024 or 2025.

@W3WxSpace Was 2021 the last true bull market? @Julius_eth_dev
