@ChefGruel Mcdonald's needs to sell a couple of the best breakfast food items all day. It doesn't need to be EVERYTHING on the breakfast menu (to make it manageable for the staff). I'd rather have a sausage and egg mcmuffin with cheese for lunch than any of their burgers.

Most airport food service workers are unionized. In addition to those protections, they must clear federal aviation vetting, which can take months (sometimes longer) before a replacement can even step foot behind the line. The result is a system where termination is technically possible but practically rare. Chronic rudeness, slowness, poor hygiene, sloppiness, and general incompetence are often not treated as grounds for termination unless they’re exhaustively documented and escalated through a lengthy disciplinary process. Over time, that standard becomes normalized behavior. You’d be shocked at what goes on in some of those kitchens. And that reality is exactly why so much airport food (even at the “better” concepts) is pre-bagged, reheated, and microwaved. It’s not about quality; it’s about designing food that survives a broken system.

Don’t order fried food on a Sunday. Typically restaurants stretch their oil until Monday delivery using old, battered and beaten oil. Or ask how much they change their oil. Fried food is typically bad because of the broken down oil, not the frying.

Is that supposed to be an insult? All oysters are farmed, most clams, a majority of “wild” Alaskan salmon starts in hatcheries (even though they call it wild). Seafood that is properly farmed removes pressure off overfished wild stocks. Not sure your angle here.
