Covid was insane b/c the strong arm tactics failed. None of them worked. They produced the misery, distrust, and anger that you get from using strong arm tactics but also they didn't produce any results. It was just extra misery and pain layered on the pandemic for no reason.

A LOT of non-UK people (mostly americans) do not realise this heat isn't a joke. We aren't exaggerating or playing it up for dramatic effect, people are actually being HOSPITALISED over this. If you genuinely think the solution is as easy as "get AC", you're fucking stupid!

I'm sorry, but this cartoon about Stephen Colbert in The Globe is ridiculous. Colbert was not a pillar of democracy. He's a comedian and not a very good one. His show was bloated in terms of staff compared to audience size and ratings, that made him vulnerable. This is overblown.
