I’m a leap year Lakeland so as there is no February 29th this year I’m going to celebrate my birthday today and tomorrow ❤️ I’m 10 years old I’m not sure where the last 10 years have gone but I’ve had an amazing time, fabulous adventures and have so much enjoyed sharing it with you all Thank you all for following me ❤️❤️❤️

We’re so sorry for the recent silence. The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for us at Dogs on the Street. Unfortunately, we’ve experienced a serious and unexpected financial setback involving outstanding funds owed to us by a local authority. As this matter is now in the hands of our legal team, we’re unable to share further details at this time. What we can say is that the situation has placed enormous strain on our charity. Without a resolution very soon, we may not be able to continue operating beyond March. This is heartbreaking for us, especially knowing how many vulnerable dogs and owners rely on our support. If you are in a position to donate or share our appeal, your support would mean more than we can express. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us fight to keep Dogs on the Street going during this incredibly challenging time. Thank you for standing with us. ‘She’s scruffy, you should cut her hair’ Nope. She’s only 4 months old and she has puppy fur. She won’t need a trim until 6 months+ It’s brushed every day and knots brushed out or removed and washed as necessary. It’s super soft, like silk. Plus, she’s a loved family dog, not an ornament or show piece that’s here to be perfect. Have a wonderful, messy, funny, mud splattered, puddle stomping day 🤎🤎🤎 🥾 💦

@amscanlon When we lived in London our Muslim neighbours were our lovely dog-sitters 💙 , even noticing if we got delayed at work and visiting them for fusses 🐶🐶.... they put a gate in the back-garden fence , so our dogs could go visit whenever they wanted to! 💙

Last night a friend of mine, a Muslim man born in UK, made a huge fuss of my dog, as per. This morning at the nail place a young Muslim woman, again born in UK, told me how much she adores her dog. So who exactly are the anti-dog notices for? Is it guilty white people signalling their virtue & speaking over a minority community? This shit causes unnecessary division

@Kesthecollie One of our collie rescues ‘nipped’ in excitement when we first rescued him. We worked hard to ‘cure’ him but it was slow progress . Soon after, we collie-sat our friends’ 10 year old (female)collie while they were on hols. She(very gently) ‘cured’ him of the habit in a day! 💖

Working border collies nip at sheep’s heels. An undertrained and under-stimulated border collie can nip at humans if their herding instinct is high. This can be seen as ‘biting’. And causes a lot of them to be abandoned by their humans who then dump them at shelters

Hi everyone, Due to a sudden family emergency, things have been quieter than usual on our page. My children sadly lost their dad this morning, and I’m supporting them during this very difficult time. Previous rescues we’ve dealt with have said that the fee doesn’t just support the costs of the charity , but also shows that people rescuing are willing to a/commit to a dog , and b/ have the funds to support a dog , (which is very expensive in itself!)

What’s going on with dog rehoming the UK? Met several people who are saying it’s very difficult & obstacles are being put in their way; I’m half looking myself now too & can’t find any dogs! Many rescue centres either closing or will only rehome if you already have a dog???

We recently did a rehoming appeal for Tip to find a home, but he is still waiting 😔💔🏡 He has been with us since he was a pup, so most of his life has been in kennels. As much as we love his company, we would love nothing more than see him in a home of his own. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 #Adopt

This week my dad had to be admitted to Gloucester Royal Hospital as at some point in the last four weeks he’d had a heart attack. Would just like to say a big thank you to all of Cardiology Team the Drs, Nurses, Orderlies the gentleman with the biscuits and everyone involved who have been absolutely fantastic so kind caring and so helpful and should be so proud of the amazing job that they do ❤️❤️

Please could we give these fundraisers a push especially the lawn mower appeal….. we’re unable to cut the acres of grass that is growing daily 🤦🏻‍♀️🌱🙏
