@shaynagoldman_ I’d like your opinion on how this roster was mis-managed. Both Draisatl and Bouchard are in the early years of big new contracts…that’s tough to swallow fo any team (see Avs following MacK’s) new deal. Goaltending is the only area and Skinner needed to move on.

As if his play the last few games wasn't telling enough, to be a game-time decision in this situation is pretty telling of his injury status. But the bigger point still has to be complete mismanagement of this roster around the big guns.

McDavid's injury obviously contributes to Edmonton facing elimination tonight, but it's not the only reason. So if/when the Oilers get the boot, higher ups have to take a long hard look past that injury and at management's decisions over the last year+ that got them here.

@shaynagoldman_ Back to Back Cup Finals and injuries to their best players. Many are making a bigger deal of Management and Coaching’s job for clicks. Teams fail for many years due to inconsistency in coaching and management. Now’s not the time for major changes.

@ESPNRefNHL @jasondemers5 How about they can challenge the offside but officials can only review the play in real time? There is no reason an offside that needs to broken down frame by frame should be called offside. Let the game be fast….

@2003nicko @domluszczyszyn Perry wasn’t bottom 6 and half of his goals came on the PP. Again, if a team has a top six who consistently leads the league (inc. playoffs) in points they don’t really need production from their bottom 6.

@mathewjdp The funniest thing is that it’s not even that bad….the Oilers have had the toughest schedule, the toughest schedule, new offensive and defensive coaches and have been missing a top 6 fwd the entire season… And they are still well within striking distance of the division.

Looking ahead at the Oilers' December schedule, this is probably where they find themselves back in the playoffs race. They play: Seattle x2 Calgary x2 Boston x2 Buffalo Montreal (love them but very injured rn) Pittsburgh Wouldn't panic yet in Edmonton.
