@railman_nakai This is the story of how your brother got 11 free French crullers.
Genius.

@anothergngrmech @poporo123456789 I think it's a failure of auto-translate. He probably meant "lack self-consciousness" meaning we're not insecure.
English

@poporo123456789 No, we are self aware. It is simply that we are not offended by the truth.
English

@snowanaya1 @Strangeland_Elf Now that you mention it, America is kind of gyaru-coded isn't it?

English

I kinda think the dynamic seems like a lot of Americans see the Japanese as their artsy, reserved friend they are very impressed with and whose creativity they can admire and many Japanese view Americans as the sort of reckless and fun loving laidback person who is like “Let’s be friends!” And then takes them to do a bunch of wild stuff they wouldn’t have done, otherwise.
English

@kiyomaruuuuu @freeborn_wolf @WatcherontheWeb That's interesting. The closest I can think of in America is a "gap year". After graduating high school some young people will "take a gap year" before going to college. Some will work and some travel or study abroad or try to get some real life experiences before college.
English

Dear Japanese people... I love you for this
I grew up in a small Midwestern town in the US... I got a car like this when I turned 16, and my friends an I spent most of our free time just.... driving it around
Random roadtrips to nowhere in particular
Circling the town, driving out to various nature sites that didn't really have names nearby, or just cruzing up and down what little we had of a "main street"
Get out of school, grab snacks, load up, turn on the tunes, then drive and talk until early into the morning
For bonus points, around midnight tune into internet reruns of "Coast to Coast AM"... Absolute treat

I wish I had known about this category of invitation before

President Trump says the Supreme Court justices who ruled again this tariffs are still invited to the State of the Union Tuesday “but barely” and he could not care less if they attended.

This is baby Chance. At 5 pounds, his family is hoping he'll be able to leave the hospital within the next month or two.
Chance's mom was pronounced brain-dead earlier this year, but doctors kept her alive for months so she could deliver her baby boy.

@KMccrory @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom A corpse is an object? Necrophiliacs will be glad to hear you.
I didn't said if a fetus was human or not. I said that a fetus and a corpse are different. You apparently agree.
English

@PTGuy88 @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom A fetus is either an object or a person with rights.
A corpse is an object with no rights.
The question is "should we prioritize the rights of a person over an object?" Or "should we prioritize the rights of an object over another object?" (in which case who gives a shit?)

English

@KMccrory @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom I will reply the exact same thing I did before, but put the word "three" instead of "one".
Should I go to the dictionary for the differences between a fetus and a corpse?
Are they the same things and therefore share the same nuances?
English

@PTGuy88 @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom It's the standard abortion argument.
>fetus doesn't have brain activity
>fetus can't feel or want anything
>therefore it doesn't warrant any moral consideration.
All of these equally apply to a corpse's wishes. And if it doesn't, then abortion is wrong anyway. Not complicated.
English

@KMccrory @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom Is a fetus a corpse?
No?
Then why are you trying to apply the same standards using a single common variable of "nor feeling a thing"?
English

@PTGuy88 @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom I am intentionally going down that road. If you think you can do whatever you want to a "fetus" because it can't feel anything how do you justify giving any weight to the well-being of a "corpse"?
English

@KMccrory @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom You really don't want to go down the "the corpse doesn't feel a thing so we can do whatever with it" road.
English

@KMccrory @iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom The fetus would die without feeling a thing. So yes it is much better than to use a corpse as an incubator.
English

@iamAtheistGirl @WTHRcom You're absolutely right. We should've left the baby in the dead body and waited for it to slowly starve to death. You psychopath.

English

@WTHRcom she didn’t deliver anything
that baby was cut out of a dead body and this is disgusting
English

@88_ginganinja @upstatefederlst @yogsothotherist He's mocking you for saying you're "Not like the other girls", big dog.
You know how quotation marks work, right?

@ChefApeMan @Fenrirtheicewo1 In the original continuity the Kents brought him to an orphanage at first and then legally adopted him. Adopted children of American citizens are granted citizenship automatically, so still not an illegal immigrant.
English

@Fenrirtheicewo1 Confirmed. 13-18 range of Kryptonian origin confirmation.
He may have an unconstitutional citizenship, which would make him an illegal immigrant.

English

No, he's not, Clark Kent is a legal citizen. He was an abandoned child found by a young couple. By US law, any abandoned child under the age of 15 is automatically given citizenship. So no, Clark was always legal and even if papers were an issue the Kent's can just say he was dropped on their farm, which is technically true, babies being abandoned on train stations, fire houses, hospitals, farms and so on are such a common that most don't question it, they'd probably assume he was the kid of some scared teen mom from the city who went there to drop the slate clean, Clark and any baby in general is not illegal in America.
