@thomson_ai25900 @mattleslie74 Only in Scotland do people think Law 12 prohibits a player from heading the ball whilst on the ground when in actual fact this is a referee decision if a player doing so is committing an act of dangerous play. A discretionary decision, not a law.

@Stuartyyboy12 The laws of the game don’t say that at all. It is up to the discretion of the referee to determine if this is ‘dangerous play’ under Law 12. How you and I interpret this meaning doesn’t matter. In this instance the Ref deemed it a foul / pen. Hope this clears things up.
