Quite unfortunately, how can we take anything to president says at face value? Per request of Iran, Trump said he has delayed by 10 days his second delay of an ultimatum? Earlier today, from his cabinet meeting, President Trump said Iran was all but defeated and barely had any missile or drone capacity left. Literally as he was saying that, Trey Yingst from Fox News was reporting live from Tel Aviv that the 10th *round* of missile fire from Iran was falling on Israel at that moment! Meanwhile, foreign minister Aragchi said in public that there were no negotiations, there would be no negotiations, unless the American side submitted to Iranian demands for a ceasefire or end of war negotiation. And those demands are substantial. One wonders, whether this is just another delay by President Trump because he doesn’t want to make good on his threat to destroy Iranian energy infrastructure – knowing that Iran will certainly make good on its threat to devastate energy facilities of our allies and friends in the region – and maybe it’s just to buy more time to reload from the lack of missiles that we have, both offensive and defensive, in order to continue the war. And of course, all this is in the context of the very real potential for a highly risky and very foolish US ground operation somewhere in the Persian Gulf, potentially as soon as this weekend. Everywhere, you wanna look, the United States and our military plan is failing. The ultimate proof remains in looking at the Strait of Hormuz, that it remains firmly control of Tehran. All the bluster, 10,000 air strikes from the US hitting Iranian targets, all the attacks from Israel, have still not been able to force it open. God help us all if we conduct a ground operation, the casualties could be horrific.

This administration has been pursuing peace talks to end the war in Ukraine. The fact is, many NATO countries are willing to accept weaponry but are unwilling to negotiate peace.
